Ezzard Charles the Jazz Bassist???
editSo I happened to stumble across a rather interesting part of this article when I was looking up the jazz standard "Ezz-thetic" (by George Russell). Specifically, I'm talking about the claim that Charles was a renowned jazz bassist, and that said piece was actually titled after him. However, this claim lacked sources. Intrigued (for despite my love of both jazz and sports, I'd never known before that Ezzard Charles was a jazz musician), I began looking into this information elsewhere online. However, I couldn't find a single reliable or notable source for this online, any images of Charles playing the double bass (let alone with any 1950s jazz legends or at Birdland), etc. Furthermore, all mentions of Charles' jazz hobby seemed to be predated by the addition of this claim to the article (which makes it seem like those were likely just copied off of Charles' Wikipedia page). So, I decided to delete this part... any thoughts? CitizenKang414 (talk) 01:29, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
