Removed information

The very last edit by User:Trailmix1234 removed the following sentances, "Constable King is often called Calgary's First Citizen, since he was the first NWMP officer to cross the Bow River and set foot on the future site of Calgary. This title is also sometimes given to Sam Livingston, another Calgary pioneer from the 1870s." Based on your edits to John Glenn (Alberta) and Calgary, Alberta, I assume the issue with the phrase Calgary's First Citizen. Although it is possible that John Glenn was in Calgary before Livingston and King, both Livingston and King have been given this nickname. Regarding King, both of the links listed in the "External links" section refer to this. Please clarify. -- JamesTeterenko 04:01, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Seeing no further comment, I will restore the information. Also, I will change the reference to Calgary being a city back to it being a town. Calgary did not become a city until 1894. -- JamesTeterenko 19:47, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Added John Glenn Information

I didn't see your notes. But this is good, we can compromise. You are happy with George being often named and Livingston sometimes being named - fair enough. The problem I have with it is the statement is misleading. This is how history gets skewed, you can't imply that George and Sam were the first settlers without mentioning Glenn. It's the implication of your statement that I don't think can just be left.
