Fair use rationale for Image:Halotrust.gif
editImage:Halotrust.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
The Princess Diana factor?
editSurprised to see no mention of the connection with Diana, Princess of Wales, and her dedication to the cause, which greatly raised its profile in the early years. 86.144.243.136 (talk) 15:47, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
COI
editBack in 2015, someone tagged this article for conflict of interest without starting a discussion. I have started to look into the edits by Halo trust, and certainly the first and second edits which removed controversial stories, look like COI. I have restored that information and I will be looking at the rest of the edits by this user. RockMagnetist(talk) 00:00, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
I have removed almost all of the material contributed by this user and removed the COI tag. The material was no great loss - way out of date and unsourced. Much of the remaining material in this article is also out of date. RockMagnetist(talk) 21:52, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
Copyright violations
editPer WP:COPYVIO, I had to remove a lot of material that was copied from various sources. It appears that it was all added in a single edit by Jlindsay7, the only edit by that user. RockMagnetist(talk) 21:37, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
[POV Tag] Appears to be copied from marketing material
editOne section says "All of this is made possible through the generous support of our donors:" without being inside a quote or citing anything. It seems that sections (or possibly all) of this article may have been written by a person of the organization, or copied from marketing material written by the source of the material so I added the POV tag for review. This issue may be related to the above Copyright section.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.109.12.239 (talk) 06:02, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
- It sure does look that way. I wasn't able to track down the source, but most of the section on Ukraine has a promotional appearance and was added by the same editor in March 2019. I removed the offending content. I also found more copyvios, having already removed several chunks of text a few months ago. Thanks for pointing this out. I do find this a bit suspicious. This article is linked to on Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. An article that is linked on his sister-in-law's page Action for Children also has a neutrality tag applied on it. Both articles are mentioned in the same way on their respective pages, that is, this person is a a patron of x organization. Transfo47 (talk) 18:42, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
