Dodgy reviews

edit

I think the reference to Head Heritage should be removed for its rather childish and completely foolish review of what was surely produced in the first place with serious intent, as in a work of art, rather than some gimmick as the review implies. I quote from the source of the reference to show you what I mean. If Wikipedia are going to make references to critic's reviews then one should expect critics of at least a serious nature.

"It crossfades into “Wind Of Change,” the first of three instrumentals that try to make you not miss the absence of Robert Calvert’s songwriting. And although it opens exactly like Blondie’s “Fade Away And Radiate” (off their 1978 “Parallel Lines” album, purchased by this reviewer in 1981 in an attempt to neatly reconcile my progressive tastes with punk as Robert Fripp was present on the aforementioned track.) But instead of turning into ‘a clear blue neon glow’ it falls into a faux-progressive instrumental that, because of its mellotronic/violin tones and (face it) somewhat sappy title, is maudlin as fuck. “Wind Of Change” -- groan -- oh it wants to be heroic (and I want to be, too) but no dice; it’s a laughter-inducing fart and quite possible the first ever time in Hawkwind’s chronology when they REALLY took the wrong step."

This review is in no way in step with what the audience would view it as. It is like some foul-mouthed uneducated college kid's view. It has nothing what so ever to do with Blondie either. This is made-up dribble of the lowest order. 79.67.249.137 (talk) 16:17, 3 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
