Needs improvements
editThere's still a lot that could be added to this article such as info on merchandise, character bio, info about Kick-Ass 2, etc. I was hoping that other editors who knew more about those things than I do could help out. For An Angel (talk) 20:45, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
comics and movies
editThe article needs more on comparison and contrast of the character of the comics and the character of the movies, just like the Kick-Ass character article does. Gringo300 (talk) 15:02, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
Mindy's Age
editWhat exactly is Mindy's age? In KA2 (comic) she is referred to as being 11, yet in Hit Girl (which is set before KA2) she is referred to as being 12. (46.204.72.134 (talk) 21:06, 28 October 2013 (UTC))
- I'm actually relieved that I'm not the only person who noticed this. Obviously, the ages were reversed. Gringo300 (talk) 07:21, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
When the movie came out, the actress was 13 years, 1 month, and 2 days old. There's your answer. --Nosehair2200 (talk) 02:52, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
Requested move 14 August 2014
edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: not moved. I'll start a new discussion about moving this article to simply Hit-Girl as that suggestion generated a lot of support in this RM but really needs to have a proper multi-move discussion. Jenks24 (talk) 11:50, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
Hit-Girl (character) → Hit-Girl (comics) – Per WP:NCC, the character article should be moved to Hit-Girl (comics), and the article about the comic book already at that title should be moved to Hit-Girl (comic book). – Fortdj33 (talk) 13:17, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Steel1943 (talk) 14:00, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- I just reviewed WP:NCC regarding if the character article should be at the title with the "(comics)" disambiguator; according to my interpretation of the page, that disambiguator should only be used in the event that it is the only article related to comics, which it is not since the comic book article exists. (I may be interpreting this in a manner that others don't, but from what I saw on WP:NCC, the disambiguator "(comics)" is mentioned at the top of the guideline, then not mentioned again.) However, I left the Hit-Girl (comic book) redirect I created intact since it is a proper redirect. Steel1943 (talk) 13:38, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Fortdj33: In addition to what I just said in my last comment, I would actually say that most likely, the subject of the article currently at Hit-Girl (character) may be the primary topic for the term "Hit-Girl" (per the other existing entries on the disambiguation page Hit-Girl). Steel1943 (talk) 13:46, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- Per my comments above, I oppose the proposed move per the current wording of WP:NCC, but support moving Hit-Girl (character) to Hit-Girl and moving Hit-Girl to Hit-Girl (disambiguation). Steel1943 (talk) 14:00, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- I would agree that the character article is probably the primary topic, so I would support moving Hit-Girl (character) to Hit-Girl and moving Hit-Girl to Hit-Girl (disambiguation). But, I only suggested moving the comic book article, because Hit-Girl (comics) was already in use. If the character article is not going to use "(comics)" as the disambiguation, then the comic book article should instead. Fortdj33 (talk) 14:10, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- support, either of the moves mentioned above with slight preference for Hit-Girl (comics) Gregkaye (talk) 14:59, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose NCC makes it very ambiguous to the general reader as to the topic of this article, so seems to fail WP:CRITERIA in this case. WP:RF we are not serving the readership with ambiguously disambiguating characters from eponymous comic books. Other character articles on Wikipedia use "(character)" so the comics schema is inconsistent with the topic of fictional characters. -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 06:21, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
- NOTE I think the discussion at talk:Wolverine (character) may have bearing on this discussion -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 06:26, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose this obviously tendentious move request. I mean, for Christ's sake, the "Film" section is longer than the "Comics" section! I'm not opposed to a move to Hit-Girl, as it is clearly the WP:PRIMARY subject—Hit Girl (song) is unhyphenated, and thus dealt with best with a hatnote.
Of course, what's worst about this move is the fact that it was a stealth tendentious edit done in response to the discussion at Wolverine (character)—proposed as an Uncontroversial technical request made less than an hour after I'd pointed out Kick-Ass (character). It's obvious what Fortdj33 is trying to do, and if this editor doesn't cut out this crap, I will take it straight to WP:ANI. Curly Turkey ⚞¡gobble!⚟ 07:01, 16 August 2014 (UTC) - Oppose per WP:PRECISION - the title should be sufficiently precise to unambiguously identify the article's subject and distinguish it from other subjects, which doesn't happen between (comics) and (comic book). Take a look at the related Kick-Ass, which does the right thing: Kick-Ass (comics) for the comic and Kick-Ass (character) for the character. Turning those around doesn't make sense.
- I agree with moving this article to Hit-Girl, it gets way more than ten times the number of page hits of the other two pages combined (which would be the bare minimum to have a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC with respect to usage). Diego (talk) 07:36, 16 August 2014 (UTC)

- Per my comments above, I support moving Hit-Girl (character) to Hit-Girl and moving Hit-Girl to Hit-Girl (disambiguation). - Support the proposed move per previous discussion, unless someone shows that any one of the other articles has a similar claim to being significant. Oppose moving Hit-Girl (comic book) to Hit-Girl (comics) per WP:PRECISION. Diego (talk) 15:44, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
- Support per previous discussion. Curly Turkey ⚞¡gobble!⚟ 20:49, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
- Support as better than Hit-Girl (character). I would have had the slightest of preferences for Hit-Girl (comics) but that moot point. The option chosen is good. Gregkaye (talk) 21:38, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose "(comics)" the comic book should not use that disambiguator, as the character is also a comics subject, so both the comic book and character are "comics" making the disambiguator "comics" ambiguous. support making the character the primary topic. -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 04:38, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
- Comment re: (comic book) vs (comics)---I think we should open a discussion at the WP:COMICS talk page about this. My gut reaction was that the Hit-Girl comic book should remain at (comic book), but thinking about it, I don't think the publishing format is necessarily the best dab to use---after all, years after the series ceases, it will likely remain in print in collected form (call it graphic novels or TPBs or what have you). I doubt this is limited to 'Hit-Girl. (comics), however, could be parsed as Hit-Girl in comics, which is not the intended scope (unless someone wants to rewrite the article from that angle---I won't comment whether that's appropriate or not). Chloe's age as of filming
editOn this article it claims Chloe was 11 at the time of filming Kick-Ass, however the filming would have happened in the end months of 2009, making her at least 12 years old nearly 13. Easy math if you look at her birthday, which is Feb 10 1997. It needs fixing up.121.74.147.60 (talk) 11:00, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
- When the movie came out, the actress was 13 years, 1 month, and 2 days old. Nosehair2200 (talk) 02:54, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
