Hori-san to Miyamura-kun → Horimiya – While the official title of the series as a whole is "Hori-san to Miyamura-kun", the short name "Horimiya" appears to be more commonly used. It's the official name for the manga adaptation of the web comic, as well as the official title of the anime and live-action drama (as seen the URL of their respective sites). The anime community also seems to refer to it as "Horimiya" more often than by the full title, as seen by how the short title has more Google hits than the long form. - Comment: Would a split be better? lullabying (talk) 03:42, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose: Going off by this I think it's just better to split the article. Hori-san to Miyamura-kun is the original manga and Horimiya is the a remake. As of this writing, the original Hori-san to Miyamura-kun is still being updated and OVAs for it are still being released. lullabying (talk) 19:37, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose While most of the new sources use Horimiya, that is simply due to the new anime adaptation using that name. Before that, all sources used "Hori-san to Miyamura-kun" thus I fear changing the title would constitute WP:RECENTISM. Link20XX (talk) 14:54, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
- Is it really recentism if Horimiya is Yen Press' official English title since 2015, Per ANN? There's even evidence that it was referred to as Horimiya as far back as 2012 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Canadianerk (talk • contribs) 10:02, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
- That is because Horimiya is the sequel manga. The original manga, as seen in the infobox, is Hori-san to Miyamura-kun. That title has use that predates all the sources you gave ([1]). Link20XX (talk) 15:31, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
- I pointed to those sources because your point was that no sources used that title until the anime adaptation did. I missed that you were exclusively referring to the original manga, sorry Canadianerk (talk) 16:47, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose per Lullabying and Link20XX. A split would be better in this case. Harushiga (talk) 17:46, 6 December 2021 (UTC)

Split proposal
editWould it be a good idea to split the article to Horimiya? It looks like the page is getting cluttered, especially when it comes to the episode listings. lullabying (talk) 06:43, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
