Move
editI moved this article from "inguinal orchiectomy" to "orchiectomy" because "orchiectomy", as well as "orchidectomy", seems to be more commonly used without "inguinal" than with it. Unless there are other issues, Wikipedia naming conventions favor using the most common form of a term. However, if there are any objections, I will move the article back. If you want me to move the article, please contact me on my talk page, as I am unlikely to notice requests here. -- Kjkolb (talk) 07:22, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Name change
editOrchiectomy gets ca. 176,000 Google hits, while orchidectomy gets ca. 480,000 - should we change the name to reflect this? Here in Ireland I have never come across the former spelling, nor have any of my colleagues. I wonder is this regional? GeneralBelly (talk) 10:38, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
