Saxophone's patent date must have been duplicated to May 17 and June 22. One should be fixed. --PuzzletChung
Removed:
The correct date appears to be June 24, where it also appears.
- Removed this again. June 24 is correct. Wallie (talk) 14:53, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Major events
editThe invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941 was a major event. It should be mentioned in the intro. For September 11, the 2001 event is mentioned and rightly so. I can assure you that June 22 had a significance for the Soviet people like September 11 had for the American people - or don't you think so?. Wallie (talk) 12:27, 15 November 2008 (UTC) Please discuss before reverting. Thanks. Wallie (talk) 14:49, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

- Why someone removed Day of Memory and Grief? It is a major mourning day in Russia, the date of Nazi invasion.Garret Beaumain (talk) 22:44, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- It was not supported by a linked article. Observances must be the subject of an article per WP:DAYS. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 22:47, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
1897 - Two murders/assassinations tied to the Queen's anniversary are listed, but the Jubilee itself is not. According to The Post-American World, p. 167, "...about four hundred million people around the world, one-fourth of humanity, got the day off." That sure seems significant to me, however there is no article on it.Kdammers (talk) 05:48, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
Births and deaths
editIn accordance with the guidelines, I'm continuing to weed the Births and Deaths sections by removing entries for celebrities with 0-4 articles in other languages. Where possible, these have been transferred to the relevant Year in Topic articles. As well as making the lists more manageable, this will help with the globalization effort.
