Citation does not seem to mention Kathleen Booth
edit> Part of her contribution was the ARC assembly language.
The referenced web page [1] appears to mention her husband, not her. Espertus (talk) 19:42, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
The page referred to and that currently first article reference make many references to both individuals. Cosmicdense (talk) 03:50, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
Is this her obituary?

- It's also worth noting that the Andrew Booth Memorial Lecture series changed in 2017 to be the: Andrew and Kathleen Booth Memorial Lecture https://www.bbk.ac.uk/annual-events/andrew-and-kathleen-booth-memorial-lecture Pluke (talk) 16:20, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
- @ItssTej:, annoyingly that Legacy page is no longer available (and it can't be revived via the Internet Archive). Do you remember any of the details in it, including the death year? I could use that as a starting point of searching the public records and newspaper archives. Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 00:21, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
- I've mailed Birbeck to see if they know anything, will get back to you Pluke (talk) 09:33, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks @Pluke:, that's a big help. I found a Medium article yesterday, dated from mid-2019, which claims she was alive and well, but not sure it's reliable. --Jkaharper (talk) 13:13, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks @Jkaharper: I've just had confirmation from Birkbeck that she is alive and well, and sent them a Christmas card last year! Pluke (talk) 16:13, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- That's great news! Thank you for clearing this one up. --Jkaharper (talk) 16:14, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

Death reported on Twitter
editFrom: https://twitter.com/tariqkrim/status/1561303815537807360
RIP Kathleen Booth, who Invented the first assembly language. She was 100 years old, and I have not seen anything in the news about it, unfortunately. With her husband, they formed the smallest computer group in the UK. Respect!

- I've just received an email back from Birkbeck and they're denying it's true. --Jkaharper (talk) 15:37, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
