A photo of Knud Rasmussen with arctic schooner captain Robert Bartlett of the Ernestina (Schooner), a U.S. National Historic Landmark, is available.[1] It may arguably be in the public domain.

In this article Knud is said to have been food poisoned, then contracted pneumonia, and then died. The cited sources, 17–18, only mention the food poisoning, and does thus not support the part about pneumonia. I have no reason to believe that he did not die from pneumonia, and would like to correct the kiviak article that does not mention it at all, however as it stands the sources does not support it. most likely, the description here is also lacking, as the Danish version says the following about his death: "Knud Rasmussen fik en maveinfektion under den sidste ekspedition og blev først bragt til Julianehåb og derfra til Danmark til indlæggelse på Gentofte Hospital. Han kom sig dog ikke over det, men døde efter nogle måneder, da der også tilstødte en lungebetændelse." which basically says that he got an intestinal infection, went to Denmark, got pneumonia, and died after some months.
