heavy
What's a "heavy"? Better explain or avoid jargon. --Robbe
- IMO it is a pretty well understood phrase. It has elements of thug and tough but stupid to it.
- There is a link for it, I'll add it. Beanbatch 20:25, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
brother
Please identify Marvin's brother.
- This is a hoax. Major General Albert Stubblebine III, director of the U.S. Army's Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), is a name that comes up in the area of remote viewing. Folks say he looks like Marvin, but they are not related. Gonna remove it. Beanbatch 20:25, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
sons of lee marvin
The source clearly identifies Marvin's son as having confronted Waits, not Jarmusch. I changed it here and on the main article for the "secret society."
- Its kind of obvious why Marvin's son objected to the "society". According to the link provided, Jarmush was quoted as :
- Six months ago Tom Waits was in a bar in somewhere like Sonoma County in Northern California, and the bartender said, ”You’re Tom Waits, right? A guy over there wants to talk to you.” Tom went over to this dark corner booth and the guy sitting there said, ”Sit down, I want to talk to you.” So Tom started getting a little aggressive: ”What the fuck do you want to talk to me about? I don’t know you.” And the guy said, ”What is this bullshit about the Sons of Lee Marvin?” Tom said, ”Well, it’s a secret organization and I’m not supposed to talk about it.” The guy said, ”I don’t like it.” Tom said, ”What’s it to you?” The guy said, ”I’m Lee Marvin’s son” - and he really was. He thought it was insulting, but it’s not, it’s completely out of respect for Lee Marvin.
- If someone would be that rude as saying ”What the fuck do you want to talk to me about? I don’t know you.” as soon as I meet them I would be insulted as well. Piercetp 05:53, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Revert
I just reverted the article. It was showing as nonexistent so I reverted to the last edit.
Fair use rationale for Image:Bigheat.jpg
Image:Bigheat.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:16, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
