editThe link to the image "Migration.jpg" is not correct. I want to link to a file on commons with the same name, but since there is an image on the English wikipedia with the same name, it shows that one.. Ruigeroeland (talk) 13:12, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- Never mind, fixed it by uploading the pic to the English wiki. Ruigeroeland (talk) 13:19, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
Question
editI write the article in french, Migration des papillons. Have you a reference for :
There are records dating back to 1100 about migrating butterflies (probably a Pieris species) from Bavaria to the Duchy of Saxony and from 1248 about the migration of yellow butterflies in Japan.

There is no information offered on how primitive animals like butterflies know how to migrate. This is the most interesting thing about migration - not that they do it (which is all this article discusses), but how they do it. How does a newly hatched e.g. Monarch butterfly know how to fly all the way to Mexico to a tiny area of just a few trees? This article is grossly incomplete without even touching on this subject. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.156.72.169 (talk) 03:55, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
Error for wind direction?
editUnder Flight, it seems that the wind helping Painted Lady is a tailwind not a headwind. Peterpj77 (talk) 23:54, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Evidently. I've fixed it. Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:12, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
