I'm surprised that a Rhododendron species is listed on this page! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhododendron#Active_substances http://www.brewery.org/brewery/library/HonD.html

and here's a less alarmist view... http://www.colonsay.org.uk/honey6.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.45.85 (talk) 23:01, 31 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

There's a lot of overlap here with Nectar source, List of honey plants, List of pollen sources, List of Northern American nectar sources for honey bees, and some other related articles. It's not clear what the source for this article was (the initial edit summary mentions fr.wiki, but I can't find this article there, so maybe it was rewritten/merged/deleted). — The Earwig (talk) 02:57, 12 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Kazamzam: Could you please explain why you think this article needs expert attention? {{Expert}} shouldn't be used with no reason per Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2021 February 9#Template:Expert needed * Pppery * it has begun... 17:54, 5 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Pppery. Thanks for the note on the discussion of the Expert tag, I hadn't seen it. Basically I added a citation for the overall topic of a melliferous flower but none of the individual flowers listed in the body as examples, which is where I think it would be beneficial to have someone with more experience/familiarity in Botany than me confirm that everything is accurate, well-cited, and sufficiently comprehensive. If you think that isn't something that requires "expert" attention and more "someone with a lot of time on their hands", I will remove the tag (and try to be more judicious with it in the future). Thanks! Kazamzam (talk) 18:04, 5 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
I have no opinion on the subject, was just trying to clear Category:Articles needing expert attention with no reason or talk parameter. Given that you've now provided an explanation here, I've edited the tag to link to this page, and it can stay. For future reference, when you add {{Expert}} you should either provide |reason=, or start a section on the talk page and link to it with |talk= * Pppery * it has begun... 18:06, 5 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
