Laguna Beach usage
editIsn't this significant enough to add —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hrhadam (talk • contribs) 12:06, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
My Happy Ending in french charts.
editThe song didn't reach the top 30 in France. So peaking at number 3 must be a mistake. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.163.163.216 (talk) 18:15, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Genre Editwar
editPlease remember that all genres should have a reliable source attached to them. There has been some recent edit warring going on regarding the genre, and though I normally keep out of genre editing (I even have the I-don't-edit-genres userbox), this editing is severly lessening the quality of the My Happy Ending article.
If you wish to change the genre, please add a reliable source along with it. Please don't remove genres which are already sourced unless you have another source which debunks them. Adding sources that you think the song "best sounds like" is considered original research and is one of the five pillars of Wikipedia. If you have any further comments on the changing of the genre of this article, please leave them here before reverting/editing. Thanks ~ [ Scott M. Howard ]:[ Talk ] ~ 20:35, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed. It only gets changed to alternative rock anyway so I don't understand why you can't live with pop rock and rock? Zylo1994 (talk) 21:08, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- Ok then,...whyy the hek is this dance?!? this song isnt dance in ANY way! it might be electro rock, pop, rock, pop rock, teen pop, adult contemporary, adult alternative, soft rock, and punk rock,...but in no way is it dance! its not even dance pop! >.> the only reason i dont edit it, its because i got blocked from taking it off...THE SONG IS NOT DANCE 24.139.117.90 (talk) 04:52, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
- This article only cites one source. If we are going to use a source, we should use ALL genres listed in that source, not pick-and-choose. ~ [ Scott M. Howard ] ~ [ Talk ]:[ Contribs ] ~ 05:28, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ok fine then, that makes sense...but i still dont think that its a reliable source >.> do what u want but im just sayin 24.139.117.90 (talk) 01:04, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Dance genre?
editC'mon! That person who put dance as a genre of MHE, are insane??? Or have an auditive problem that dont let him/her difference a music style? How can u said this song it's dance? This is so NOT dance ( also applies with that "pop" style).... This song it's Rock, pop rock and even alternative, i know you put this by sources that are "trusted" but this time i think that web page where cites MHE as dance and pop are not a good source. It's just common sense, if you find a website which cites this song as Rap or Death Metal are you seriously going to add it? Keep that dance genre if you find at least 3 good sources —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.255.164.42 (talk) 02:03, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- You're not the first person to doubt the credibility of sortmusic (see above). The bottom line is... either use ALL of the genres from a source, or use none. Only picking and choosing is WP:OPINION. Since there seems to be opposition to using all of the genres, they have all been removed, and Pop and Rock remain since that is what the album as a whole lists as genres. This should remain until any reliable sources for genre can be found. ~ [ Scott M. Howard ] ~ [ Talk ]:[ Contribs ] ~ 02:46, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- I found some reliable sources that are used on other Lavigne's songs to label it
This proper single, allmusic.com gives these styles --> Alternative, Adult Alternative and Teen Pop [1]
musicnotes.com is also good ---> Adult Alternative, Alternative Pop/Rock, Pop Rock, [2]
from rateyourmusic.com ---> Teen Pop, Pop/Rock, Rock [3]
from sonicomusica.com ---> Alternative [4]
from discogs.com ---> Rock, Alternative Rock [5]
don't know if last.fm works as a source but anyway, there's tagged as mainly Rock [6]
Generally we can see that the song it's mostly labelled as Rock, Pop Rock and Alternative
So one of those sources have to be reliable, if not... i dont know what are you looking, so i hope this could work —Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.94.95.7 (talk) 19:57, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
- They're good sources of information but remember that GENRE and STYLE are different. So for example, the Discogs ref only lists the style as alternative rock - it lists the actual genre as rock. Anyway, thanks for your help, I've added those refs to the article now. Zylo1994 (talk) 18:01, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
