Elisa.rolle What is the profession of "reader"? It seems from the context to be somewhat related to an actress or voiceover artist. Is it one who reads to an audience – but what? Don Quixote; newspaper articles; sonnets; political screeds; census reports; Pericles's funeral oration?

The term is too vague to form a clear understanding of the profession in the reader's mind (perhaps the profession is defunct). Would you consider glossing the term in the article, please? Spideog (talk) 00:35, 30 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
