Not simply a translation of the cited article in Siena News, of 2017, this text may be very informative and understandable, but it remains completely undigested and unwikified, in addition to being dependent entirely upon a single source. Not everything in this article is necessary to provide a suitable Wikipedia article on Riccardo Brengola (who is clearly notable), nor is the information suitably organized and presented. It is, however, a valuable starting-point. Eebahgum (talk) 15:03, 29 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • This article is essentially a (somewhat inaccurate) translation of the article in Italian Wikipedia, which has little in the way of inline citations but gives as its main source the various articles about Brengola in Esta Quaderni, June 2005 - to which I do not have access. I have attempted to wikify this text and to provide inline citations to what appear to be reputable sites from which some of the statements are more probably taken. The statement that Brengola won the Geneva International Music Competition in 1936 or 1937 falls on the difficulty that (according to Wikipedia:en) that Competition was first held in 1939, and (as to Brengola's being the only Italian winner of his year) Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli was a winner in 1939. For this award I have taken 1946, the year given by the Queen Elisabeth Prize website, to be a statement more likely to have been verified - and which is what was written in the Italian article itself. This article would benefit from accurate revision by any careful editor with access to authoritative source and reference material. I presume the information about Brengola's childhood comes from Esta Quaderni. Eebahgum (talk) 12:53, 30 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
