The short-lived Denver Rocket vs. the Rocky Mountain Rocket
editSaw this article referenced elsewhere as inaccurate. It was, though it was less inaccurate than some believe. The Rocky Mountain Rocket appeared in 1939. There was a Denver Rocket in 1937, but it was withdrawn when the decision to field the larger train was made. The Denver equipment was diverted to Oklahoma City in an attempt to compete with the Santa Fe's Kansas Cityan/Chicagoan and the Frisco's Firefly. Acptulsa (talk) 17:10, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
