Fair use rationale for Image:Dancelogoln8.jpg
editImage:Dancelogoln8.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Info for Week 1 of Top 20
editI know all the info for what dances which couples did but i dont know how to make tables. What should i do? Is someone else making a table soon? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.182.164.4 (talk) 08:25, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- I can make a table. But I need a little help with all the dances each couple did, so if you are able to give the info to me, I can rack something up, thanks! RaNdOm26 (talk) 09:35, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- I was actually going to make the table earlier, but I didn't have all the information. I would just copy the same format used by the American So You Think You Can Dance page (Season 3). (Incandescent (talk) 10:42, 18 February 2008 (UTC))
- I have just looked at the videos at the official website which states the songs each couple danced to, while the episode recaps mention what dance style each couple did. If we can combine the two, we can make a table similar to the American version ones. RaNdOm26 (talk) 10:47, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Luckly i didn't get rid if it so tommorrow as i rewatch it, ill add the things in here under this post (the anonymous coment above is mine - i forgot to sign in!)--Coin945 (talk) 12:04, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for all the info! :) I think I got the songs right from the videos on the website. Please check! I've also compiled a table using the tables in this article, using the info you've given. How do you think it looks?

Courtney and Hilton | Jazz Lyrical | "Exit Music" by Radiohead | Kelly Aykers |

Home Towns
editWho put Marko Panzie's home town as Sydney? He is from Perth. The website says he is from Perth and he said it himself in the first live elimination episode. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.101.171.217 (talk) 13:35, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- The bio put out by Ten, linked below, listed his home town as Sydney, but as he himself mentioned Perth we'll change it to that. Misterkillboy (talk) 13:55, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Likewise with Camilla - she's from Ipswich, not Brisbane. Last time I heard, I didn't think Ipswich was Brisbane *shrug* Sure, they're within 30 km of each other... So I've changed that. (Incandescent (talk) 11:11, 19 February 2008 (UTC))
- Maybe thats where they auditioned, not where their live/were born.--Coin945 (talk) 13:33, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Ratings
editCould I ask why the Monday night episodes starting 18/02 are all labelled for example "Top 18 Revealed". sounds as though it's still the audition process and we see them all for the first time. couldnt we just name these shows as "Top 20: Elimination" etc.? just a thought...oh and maybe an official stage image (if one is avaliable that is) (Rusty surfer (talk) 07:04, 19 February 2008 (UTC))
- It's actually titled Top 20: Verdict etc., according to the official site. I'll change it over. - Allied45 (talk) 10:51, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Redirecting
editSince its really annoying to go "so you think you can dance Australia", can someone make it that if you type in "sytycd aus", or "sytycd australia" or similar, it redirects you to this page??--Coin945 (talk) 07:12, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- How about SYTYCDA? RaNdOm26 (talk) 10:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Ratings
editthe ratings for the top 20 elimination are 1,345,000 but im having trouble changuiiing the grey to white... can someone else do it for me? (its under 18th Feb)--Coin945 (talk) 10:15, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I've just edited it :) It's all done now. (Incandescent (talk) 11:00, 19 February 2008 (UTC))
- thanks!--Coin945 (talk) 13:35, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Format & More Detailed Table
editShould we say something about the different styles of dance like the American one??
Also, should we go the whole "in-depth" thing that the American versions do where they say what the group dance was, who the special guest was, who were in the bottom 3/eliminated, who were put into a new couple (if any were)...? ...or at least mirror bits of it?--Coin945 (talk) 12:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Make it more detail if possible!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.172.221.66 (talk) 01:24, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Week 3
editI guess you'll want the info again this week so here it is:
1. Demi & Jack - Jazz - Kelly Aykers

Week 4
editSorry - i forgot to put the info here this week.
If you need iut later on, the celeb performance was Simple Plan singing When I'm Gone--Coin945 (talk) 08:50, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Is the show actually Live or not?
editI was just wondering if the show is actually live? I don't see how contestants that just danced the group performance have a minute or two just to change clothes, get back on the stage and hear their verdict on Mondays.
Also, right after the last dancer in the bottom six leaves the stage, the judges leave their bench and the speakers, musical instruments and singers are ready to perform their song.
Can someone make a note on that if possible. 58.172.221.66 (talk) 11:35, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- According to TV Tonight the performance show is recorded on Friday, and the opening dance number, and the guest band of the live verdict show is pre-recorded. There is also a delay in case any incidents occur that have to be quickly edited out.
- No, it probably should not be noted in the article, as this is standard practice for most live shows. Misterkillboy (talk) 10:54, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Last Week's Interview
editShould the fact that instead of an actusal show, last week consisted of an interview with the 3 judges about the contestants and their views and memories about them be included??--Coin945 (talk) 11:17, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Age Dilemma
editOn the page it says that Anthony is 23, but he infact 35 due to him stating that this was the cut-off point and this was his only chance to prove himself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Coin945 (talk • contribs) 04:36, 6 April 2008 (UTC) --Coin945 (talk) 11:39, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- That's probably true. He definitely NOT 23. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 02:55, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Season 1
editShould we create a new article and put all the season 1 info on that page? After the next few season of SYTYCDA, the page will be too big. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 04:33, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Although it is very likely there will be a second season, I think we should not get ahead of ourselves and hold off until at least Ten officially announces it. Misterkillboy (talk) 02:40, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
