Alexander Reid (10 June 1747 - 1823) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHis father was John Reid (1691-1764) of Kirkennan.
His mother was Janet McKill.[3]
Alexander Reid was born on 10 June 1747 in Kirkennan near Palnackie in Kirkcudbrightshire in the parish of Buittle.[4]
