Daniel Alexander (9 January 1800 - 5 October 1863) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
editHis father Daniel Alexander [Snr.] was the locker of the Glasgow Customs.[2]
His mother was Margaret McLaren.
Daniel Alexander was born on 9 January 1800.[3]
He married Mary Archibald Banks (c. 1802 - 23 April 1863), from Stirling, on 6 December 1837 in Edinburgh.[4]
In the 1841 census the couple were still in Edinburgh at 9 Manor Place.
In the 1851 census they had moved to Dunoon, staying at Shore Street. In the 1861 census, they were at 4 Queen Street in Dunoon.

editHe died on 5 October 1863 at Newton Cottage, Dunoon.[5]
