John Charles Lamont (2 September 1894 - 29 July 1948) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHis father was Alexander Lamont (3 November 1863 - 16 September 1925) from Grange, Banffshire.
His mother was Annabella Hendry Turnbull (7 January 1873 - 11 March 1873) from Glasgow. Alexander and Annabella married on 4 December 1893 in Cadder, Lanarkshire.
John Charles Lamont was born on 2 September 1894 in Chryston, Lanarkshire.[3]
He married Elspeth Cooper Lyons Sayers (1 April 1898 - 19 April 1935) from Kirkcudbright. They married on 11 February 1925 in Cadder.
He moved to Kirkcudbright in 1928.[4]

editHe died on 29 July 1948 in Kirkcudbright. He died due to a cerebral thrombosis.[5]
