Marjorie Ashcroft Lucas (31 May 1911 - 17 April 1997) was a Scottish painter, engraver and embroider.[1][2]
Life
editHer father was Stanley Bennent Lucas (1876 - 1949).
Her mother was Elsie Ernestine Wood (1876 - 1970). Stanley and Elsie married on 19 August 1909.
Marjorie Ashcroft Lucas was born on 31 May 1911 in London, England.
She married the artist Murray Middleton Tod (15 January 1909 - 13 August 1974) from Glasgow. They married on 28 February 1938 in Ilkley, Yorkshire, England. After the marriage the couple moved to Edinburgh.
They had 4 children.
