Thomas Bonar Lyon (1873 - 13 December 1955) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHis father was Thomas Bonar Lyon [Snr] (born c. 1838).
Thomas Bonar Lyon was born in 1873 in Glasgow.
He married Jeannie Graham Millar (born c. 1880) on 2 July 1902 in the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Greenock.
Art
editTom Bonar Lyon was principal art teacher at the Ayr Academy. Also an artist producing paintings and etchings. He was taught at the Glasgow School of Art and Royal College of Art. Exhibited at Royal Scottish Academy; Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts.
Death
editHe died on 13 December 1955 at 20 Carrick Avenue in Ayr. The funeral was at Woodside Crematorium, Paisley on 15 December 1955.[3]
