James MacBeth (18 February 1847 - 6 March 1891) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHis father was the artist Norman MacBeth (7 November 1821 - 27 February 1888) from Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire.
His mother was Mary Walker (14 May 1825 - 13 September 1885) from Govan in Glasgow. Norman and Mary married on 21 April 1846 in Glasgow.
James MacBeth was born on 18 February 1847 in Greenock.[3]
He married Agnes Dodds (1855 - 1940) from London, England. They married on 10 June 1876 in St. Marylebone, London.
