Hi! I'm Canon Law Junkie! I mostly edit the Canon Law articles and do lots of behind-the-scenes template editing. I am currently attempting to add all notable articles in Category: Canon law of the Catholic Church to {{Canon Law}}.

editThis is a real message posted to my talk page on 2 April 2017 by the sockpuppeteer "Conflict of laws junkie":
- Help me prove my authenticity
- My name is Bartholomew I. On March 17, 2017, Pope Francis consecrated me as Bishop of Wikipedia. He consecrated me in a public ceremony in the Vatican. The ceremony was attended by over 100 people, and was videotaped. The video should be on the internet somewhere.
- As a result of Pope Francis' consecration of me, I now possess ecclesiastical jurisdiction over all of Wikipedia.
- However, many Wikipedians don't believe me. I have set up two usernames, User:Holy Bishop of Wikipedia, and User:His Eminence Bartholomew I, Bishop of Wikipedia. WP admins have blocked both of these accounts, saying that I am a troll, and a vandal. User:DanielRigal has subjected me to particularly vicious criticism and cyberbullying.
- I am appealing to you, to help me prove, to other Wikipedians, the validity of my episcopal office. I have requested your help, because I see that, with your other edits about canon law, you might be able to help me prove that I am what I say I am.His Grace Bartholomew I (talk) 21:33, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
To say the least, I did not aid him in his putatively canonical appellate plight, for according to the ancient principle of law, «There is neither appeal nor recourse against a judgement or decree of the Wikipedia admins.» I wonder who Pope Francis' episcopal co-consecrators were?

Hence the parody Fontes Vicipædiæ lex suprema, that is, "The sources of Wikipedia are the supreme law", a maxim that all editors of this magnificent encyclopedia do well to remember.
