I'm starting this page because apparently I don't exist unless a page titled "UserMisterCat" exists. So, here it is. Are we happy now? MisterCat (talk) 10:35, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
"There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root," according to Henry David Thoreau. Such is the case with the Wikipedia entry on Jörg Friedrich. Old-school Oxbridge historians who glorify Churchill and denigrate Germans will be pleased with that entry as it now stands, because it deflects the reader - via nitpicking digressions - from contemplating Friedrich's main points: the horrors of war, the immorality of killing non-combatant civilians, the culpability of historical personages. This observation regards "the elephant in the room" which those who have power of final say in the Jörg Friedrich entry's content want readers to ignore.
