Stop before you're blocked

Three different people have now reverted your strange hard-to-understand addition to Aladdin (disambiguation), and you have no support for it. Stop trying to edit war it in before you're blocked. Bishonen | tålk 22:04, 31 October 2024 (UTC).Reply

"Addition"? Have you too got it the wrong way around? I am the one who has deleted a hard-to-understand (at least to me) and consistently unexplained addition by others of one single person who is already mentioned in the linked DAB.90.142.52.139 (talk) 22:12, 31 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm talking about the redundant phrase "and people with it", which you have added every time. How could something possibly be a male given name and not refer to "people with it"? Bishonen | tålk 22:14, 31 October 2024 (UTC).Reply
OK, I overlooked that phrase. It came with the revert of all people who thought it was okay to single out one person by mentioning him twice - in this article and the linked one. Which I am puzzled nobody had a problem with. 90.142.52.139 (talk) 22:20, 31 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Then the most recent version by Martin Evans is hopefully now OK for you. Bishonen | tålk 22:22, 31 October 2024 (UTC).Reply
Yes, it is.90.142.52.139 (talk) 22:25, 31 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Esprit d'escalier: while I agree that the phrase is unnecessary in this context, I don't agree that it's hard to understand if you think about it. There is a huge difference between a list of persons with a particular name and an article about the name itself, its (possible) origin, emergence in history, (possible) meaning(s), geographical and social wanderings, variant forms, etcetera. 90.142.52.139 (talk) 16:05, 1 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
