Parole
editHi! Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! I must note that I reverted this edit because the federal government does not have parole for prisoners convicted after November 1, 1987. See this document: page 2. Fogle is eligible for a "good time" early release only.
District of Columbia inmates (sentenced before August 5, 2000), transfer treaty prisoners (people sentenced for crimes committed in other countries who went to the US to serve the remainder of their sentences) and military inmates may still receive parole, along with persons convicted by federal courts before November 1, 1987. Templates
editHow do you add those things that say things like "this user is a English speaker". I have just been copying them and pasting it from articles and I want to know how to do it without copying and pasting (I think they're called templates?) CharlesIsSMart (talk) 16:50, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
Hi! It's okay to copy and paste some things such as "userboxes". It's just important to understand how they work.
{{Boxboxtop|This user}} {{User en}} {{Boxboxbottom}}
{{Boxboxtop|This user}} starts the userbox and {{Boxboxbottom}} ends it. {{User en}} states that the user is a native speaker of English. WhisperToMe (talk) 20:14, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
thank you got replying and for the answer! CharlesIsSMart (talk) 21:36, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- You're welcome! It may be good to indicate your other languages, including Greenlandic, Danish, etc. By the way, is it easy for you to go to Nuuk? If so, would you be interested in snapping a photo of the Air Greenland head office? It may be good to have a picture of it for Wikipedia. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:35, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
I live in Greenland (Nuuk) so I can take a photo of the Air Greenland airport when I have the opportunity.Also my family lives in Japan if you wanted to know and I have a lot of photos from there if that helps. CharlesIsSMart (talk) 05:48, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
- Yes please! In addition to the airport and/or the Air Greenland offices it may also help to snap photos of schools, post offices, libraries, etc. - the mundane and ordinary aspects of life in Nuuk. Be sure to add descriptions in English, Greenlandic, and/or Danish. As for Japan, photos would be great too :) WhisperToMe (talk) 09:04, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
Alright,I will get some photos when so can!
Administration
editDo you mean being a sysop/administrator? Wikipedia:Administrators#Becoming_an_administrator will tell you how somebody becomes one :)
As Wikipedia:Guide_to_requests_for_adminship notes, there is no particular metric for becoming an administrator, but it's all about whether the community trusts you to be one. WhisperToMe (talk) 06:12, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
