editThanks for the edits in Pashalik of Shkodra. Could you please see if you can make the links of the sources readable online? Thank you for your help! --Sulmues Let's talk 14:59, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- Legitimate question. A citation such as this is much more helpful. Again thanks for your edits.--Sulmues Let's talk 12:41, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Another thing: Per this agreement we have decided to take off the titles of bey and pasha from the Albanians in Wikipedia, so I accordingly made some changes. Please feel free to bring your thoughts there, I'd be delighted to know your thoughts. --Sulmues Let's talk 14:27, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Queen Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa
editThanks for making improvements to the Queen Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa article. I notice you are marking your edits as "minor", when in fact you are making substantial additions to the article. Marking significant edits as minor can make it hard for other editors to review an article's history. Please read WP:MINOR for more information, and keep up the good work! Thanks --Pontificalibus (talk) 14:21, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
I have reviewed the Thinis article which you submitted for a GAN. I have placed the nomination on hold due to a few issues. You can see the review checklist and my comments at the Good Article talk page for the article. I think over all the article is certainly moving in the right direction and could easily gain Good Article status with a few changes. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! File source problem with File:Alkarama logo.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Alkarama logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:33, 5 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:33, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi Gergis. I have reviewed the Thinis article which you submitted for a GAN; and I regard the article as mostly compliant with WP:WIAGA appart from the WP:Lead, The review is now On Hold. I will award GA-status if the lead is improved. Pyrotec (talk) 11:27, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
- Changes made to lead section, per your comments. Hope this works. gergis (talk) 12:34, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
- Well, yes it worked. I edited your new lead a bit, but the article is now a GA. Pyrotec (talk) 20:03, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Flag icon identifying summit host
editAs you may recall, the edit history of Template:Infobox summit includes your name. This causes me to guess that you may be willing to help resolve a small problem.
According to Wikipedia:Manual of Style (icons)#Avoid flag icons in infoboxes, the construction of this template is slightly flawed. In the resulting infoboxes, identification of the host country mirrors {{flagicon}}.
Despite MOS conventions, is there a arguable reason why host country flags should be incorporated in the infoboxes of summits? Can it be said to aid in navigation in the same way that {{flagicon}} is useful in the tables at G8 and G-20 major economies?
Please share your thoughts at Template talk:Infobox summit. IMO, this should be a non-issue; but I did notice that it was the subject of an edit war at BRICS.
If consensus develops for removing the flag, I don't understand how to modify the template. --Tenmei (talk) 15:11, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of William de Brantingham
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on William de Brantingham requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. TransporterMan (TALK) 17:14, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Contests
editUser:Dr. Blofeld has created Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. As someone who has previously expressed interest in African topics, would you be interested in contributing to one or assisting draw up core article/missing article lists? He says he's thinking of North Africa for an inaugural one in October. If interested please sign up in the participants section of the Contest page, thanks.♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:21, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

The article Dovedale Dash has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
A relatively short race with no mainstream coverage - probably not sufficiently notable.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rcsprinter123 (intone) 20:39, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
