Vandalism reversion tool

edit

You might want to check out Twinkle! It's a tool you enable in your preferences on here, so no installation needed. Makes vandalism reversion and warning go a lot smoother. cymru.lass (talkcontribs) 18:28, 1 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

@cymru.lass: Thanks for the information, howewer, I will need to wait some days until Im autoconfirmed until I can enable it. Jannik Schwaß (talk) 18:42, 1 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Citations required

edit

Hi there, re: this edit, why would citations be required for a character list? The primary source, i.e. the series itself, is a sufficient source for uncontroversial content like character summaries, plot, cast list, etc. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:05, 26 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Mossberg 9200 page copyvio posting

edit

Hello Jannik

The automated copyvio claim on the page I created is bizarre -- the text is taken from the Mossberg 930 article, however, I just realized that page uses text from the original link

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mossberg_930

So the copyvio is actually from the Mossberg 930 page.

I have revised the Mossberg 9200 page to remove the copied content.

izaakb ~talk ~contribs 18:00, 20 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the late response, real life was calling. However, when this website copies from Wikipedia, it doesn't change the copyvio in Mossberg 9200 because we also need to adhere to the license inside Wikipedia. That's why attempts to rename a page by copying its content to another title is bad. If that website is using Wikipedia content without adhering to the license requirements, it may be a case for Wikipedia:Reusing Wikipedia content. Jannik Schwaß (talk) 05:20, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Jannik Schwaß: what is the process for removing the copyvio notice? I edited the page to reflect the requirements. There does not seem to be a way to re-submit the page. izaakb ~talk ~contribs 12:35, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Izaakb:A WP:ADMIN needs to review it. The article is automatically in a tracking category, so earlier or later an admin will come and decide what to do with it. Please be patient. Jannik Schwaß (talk) 13:15, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Rollback

edit

I have granted the "rollbacker" permission to your account. After a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, contact me and I will remove it. Good luck and thanks. – Gilliam (talk) 18:14, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Gilliam: thanks! Jannik Schwaß (talk) 18:16, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
