ArbCom 2019 election voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:08, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

RE: Tunisian Campaign WW2

edit

Hi, My name is Philip Lamb and I am currently writing my second book, which is about the Tunisian Campaign of World War 2.

I am requesting consent to use the Map Image created by your good self Tunisia 1942 - 1943 in one of the books chapters.

I hope you can confirm the use as I don't want to get bottled up in Copyright issues.

Kind regards, PhilipWJL (talk) 13:01, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

@PhilipWJL Hi Philip, since I formally released this map into the public domain some long time ago (see the File: page on Wikimedia) I think you are free to use it as you wish although the CC BY-SA 3.0 licence rules require you to comply with some modest undertakings (attribution and the such - it's all here: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ )
regards
