Warmington

There is no such place as Warmington in Oxfordshire. I do note that the obit for Norman Painting states Oxfordshire; but they're wrong. I expect they're confused because the village of Warmington, Warwickshire has a Banbury postal address, so is often assumed to be in Oxfordshire. It is something like half a mile from the Oxfordshire/Warwickshire boundary, at grid reference SP4147. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:20, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

It looks to me like an attempt to find yet another stick to beat a guy with. I have no desire to defend the individual for whose sole "benefit" this category has been initiated, but I would defend the Wikipedia project against such use. Kevin McE (talk) 23:12, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

There is nothing on the page Wikipedia:Username policy that prohibits a username such as mine. It is the middle line of the letters on a keyboard backwards with a 0 added on the end. It is only incoherent in that it does not have any meaning, but there is no policy that states usernames must be meaningful. It is not random; it is a reverse sequence on a standard keyboard. The 0 was added solely because Lkjhgfdsa was taken. I cannot see why I would need to change my username; if you really think that necessary, please direct me to the part of Wikipedia policy that states a username consisting of a sequence on a keyboard is prohibited. Edward Woodward

Two of your recent edits to Edward Woodward state "Telegraph obit" in the summary; but there is no reference to that obituary in the article itself, only under "External links". I'll try to turn it into a proper reference, and pop it against all relevant sections; in particular the paragraph dealing with education where both a {{dubious}} and {{cn}} have been removed, but no reference added. --Redrose64 (talk) 18:19, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Simon Monjack's father

According to death records on ancestry.co.uk, William Monjack died in 1986. I think the Daily Mail article is confused - it probably meant that he died when Simon was 15 years old. That would make more sense. Ravenscroft32 (talk) 19:43, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

William Monjack was married to Linda P. Hall, who is Monjack's mother - marriage record on ancestry.co.uk. Hall is listed as mother's name on SM's birth record. That's all I've got for proof!Ravenscroft32 (talk) 23:49, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

GA Review of Akmal Shaikh on hold

The GA review of the Akmal Shaikh article has been on hold for over 30 days. It is near to being passed, but the Akmal_Shaikh#Reaction section needs editing to reduce the amount of direct quotation as per Wikipedia:Quotations, and also to be trimmed in general to meet GA criteria 3(b): "stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail".
