When the OTRS request is handled then the image is restored and the licensing will be updated. feydey (talk) 09:00, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Looking for a template
Hey, there. I notice you and Fred both left very similar messages on User talk:Thatcher ([1] and [2]), and I'm just wondering if you used a template, or if you could tell me where it came from otherwise. I'd like to make a few minor tweaks to the message if that's possible. – Luna Santin (talk) 22:35, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- Strike that, got a reply from Fred. New template at {{Range block inquiry}} if you're interested. – Luna Santin (talk) 00:02, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Luna. Thanks for the link, previously I didn't use a template. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 06:02, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Birchwood Automotive Group
Hello LouriePieterse, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Birchwood Automotive Group - a page you tagged - because: The article makes a credible assertion of notability, sufficient to pass A7. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Closedmouth (talk) 09:19, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Deprod Mixed Vegetables
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Mixed Vegetables, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!
- Reason: Too many RS reviews were found and thus this manga pass WP:BK criteria #1. --KrebMarkt 14:34, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- For future reference, Google News catches only a small minority of book reviews. If you are evaluating the notability of a book article, it's best to do a basic Google search on ""Title" review" and refine it from there as necessary. —Quasirandom (talk) 20:16, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for letting me know. Sorry for taking so long to respond, I was on holiday. I'll follow the steps as you proposed in the future. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 07:03, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Marco
I've now promoted Marco Polo to a good article; congratulations, you did a lot of work on it. It's way better than it was, and I think that it is an important article. (And this isn't spam; I'm only writing this to you and Duduman); I wrote some stuff at the end of the GA, so take a look. It's got the potential to become an FA one day, with just a little bit more research. The framework is all there. Anyway - great stuff, was nice to work with you. Cheers, Chzz ► 15:17, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- That is good news! I believe we should one day promote it to FA. It was really nice for me to work with you. Thanks for all the help during the article improvement! Kind regards, LouriePieterse 07:25, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Polo
As a recent significant contributor to the Marco Polo article, I would welcome your views in the discussion, [[3]]. Chzz ► 13:22, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Operation Entebbe
The article Operation Entebbe you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Operation Entebbe for things needed to be addressed. MuZemike 23:33, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Lourie, I invite you to answer a set of questions for the Wikipedia Signpost about your board candidacy: Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2009 Board elections/Lourie Pieterse. If you choose to do so, please let me know. I also encourage you to respond by 26 July; interviews with all candidates who respond will be publicized in the 27 July issue of the Signpost.

Wikivoices Invite
Hi LouriePieterse,
On behalf of Wikivoices, a community podcast based on the English Wikipedia, I would like to invite you (and all the other Board of Trustees candidates) to a round table interview on Skype to be held at 22:00:00 Friday July 24, 2009 in UTC. The format of this interview will be question-answer style whereby interested members of the community will pose questions to one or all of the candidates involved. If you would like any further information about the process or Skype, please contact Durova or myself on the English Wikipedia. Please be advised that spaces are limited and the sign up page can be found here. We look forward to your attendence at this event. Cheers «l| Promethean ™|l» (talk) 02:05, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Promethean. I would have loved to join in the interview, but unfortunately my internet connection is to slow for Skype. I currently uses a 2G connection, which is about 50 kbps. Thanks for the invitation, I really appreciate it. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 14:30, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Spotlight needs suggestions
Spotlight needs your help! We've had great success with Marco Polo (now a Good Article), and Marco Polo sheep (currently on the main page in the "Did You Know..."). We're now working on Dry ice. We'll be choosing the next article on Sunday 26th July, and the following one on Friday 31st July (which is when we'll finish Dry ice). Therefore, we need suggestions, here - and even more importantly, we need comment on the suggestions of others. Hope to see you in the channel again soon, cheers, Chzz ► 18:26, 25 July 2009 (UTC) |
Four Horsemen
You are mistaken. I left a detailed edit summary " fringe view, not sufficiently mainstream to be included here, maybe under end of days or something, but not here", and I gave further information on the talk page, which may be found here. The section in question is a fringe view that should be kept separate from the main entry. See WP:Fringe for further information. CrazyChinaGal (talk) 12:53, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hi. I've taken a look at the section on the talk page and agree on the subject. I found in the past that vandals use a good sounding edit summary, just to prevent you from reverting their edits. Sorry for mistaking you as one. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 14:44, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Afrikaans
Beste Lourie,
Groete Hansjoseph (talk) 15:53, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- More Hans. Groete, LouriePieterse 08:10, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- Mooi so, sien uit na jou bydraes.Hansjoseph (talk) 13:42, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Dit lyk asof daar so min is wat tans daarvan weet. Groete, LouriePieterse 13:51, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- Mooi so, sien uit na jou bydraes.Hansjoseph (talk) 13:42, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Sobaka (talk) 20:41, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
My kanse is skraal, maar elke stem help! My rekenaar het gister aand gebreek... Vriendelike groete, LouriePieterse 20:31, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Trusteeraad
— Adriaan (T★C) 13:50, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Toemaar, ek het die info by [4] gekry nadat ek Windows gelaai het en by Wikipedia gaan inloer het. Ek het ook gesien jy's 18 - ek's ook, so ek sal die "U" nou maar laat val. Sterkte met die aansoek! — Adriaan (T★C) 20:33, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
— Adriaan (T★C) 21:05, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Halo Adriaan. Sien asseblief my boodskap hierbo. Ek probeer om my rekenaar so vinnig as moontlik weer op die been te kry.
— Adriaan (T★C) 20:12, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Jy verstaan my verkeerd Adriaan. Ek bedoel dat die wêreld is slegs by hierdie betrokke geleentheid teen my. Groete, LouriePieterse 20:35, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
A little quick to judge, Perhaps?
I removed vandalism or erroneous information from the page. How does this not conform to your policies? How does this not appear to be constructive and need to be reverted? Your undo replaced vandalism back on the page. Fitz31750 (talk) 19:16, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Fitz. From my point of view it looked as if you removed facts. I did read your edit summary, but I then noticed that Notedgrant undid your edits. If I made an mistake, I would be terribly sorry! I fight myself a great deal of vandalism, so I have respect for anyone else who does. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 19:40, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I did not notice that someone else did the revert. Fitz31750 (talk) 21:19, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

An exciting opportunity to get involved!
As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Full version of NICE to be released
Thanks for helping me and my colleagues test the NICE interface modification. Depending on when you installed the tool, you were only presented with a specific subset of the features we have developed. We are ready to roll out the full feature set which, we expect, will make the gadget significantly more useful. Before we do that, we'd like you to answer a few questions about your activity in Wikipedia as it relates to undoing other's edits and what you thought of the NICE features you were shown.
The survey will ask for your Wikipedia username, but you can participate anonymously if you choose. To do so, send me an email with an address I can respond to and I will have the survey software respond with an anonymous token for you to continue. --EpochFail (talk|contribs) 17:42, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Reporting of Vandalism on Google Search Results for "MacIntosh"
I want to report that I saw the following stated under the Google Search Results for "MacIntosh" as it points to en.wikipedia.org/Macintosh "Macintosh is horrible never buy it. Always go with dell. It is way better to use and navigate on. I had mac and it just crashed for a $2000 computer its now ..." I'm unfamiliar with how to edit vandalism for wiki in Google Search Results and hoped someone could teach me or remove it themselves. Thanks! LadyButtercup (talk) 20:55, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

aigo MID
You nominated aigo MID for deletion and now some of the content is on aigo, but the spec box is crushing the rest of the text! CRUSHING, so do you care if I, as long as the relevant details are moved to the page proper, delete this box? Yes? You care much greatly about the content of articles you nominate for deletion? I hope you're not a callus, crushing fiend of deletion who makes her/his own rules and answers to no one. A veritable vigilante of the nets, leaving a pristine wake of nought behind. Should I be posting this on the aigo MID page itself?
- Hi Fleetham. You could make any changes to the article you think would be appropriate. If you think it would look good, feel free to do so. I don't make my own rules anyhow, I only patrol pages and when one looks as if it doesn't comply to a guideline, I take action. Sometimes one makes errors, but no one is perfect. Please watch the way you speak to me, keep in mind most people assume good faith. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 20:15, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Your edits to Jaikoz
Hello, you recently removed the {{notability}} tag from the Jaikoz article with an edit comment "Removed template, as article is notable". However, the article still obviously fails the General notability guideline: "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article"
The article does not cite any independent sources. (And no, the MusicBrainz link is not independent because Jaikoz is paying MusicBrainz for their promotion). If you would like to improve the situation, add some citations to published reliable sources. -- intgr [talk] 05:44, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hi intgr. I've Googled for the term, and found various sources that mention Jaikoz. It even featured in a news article by Reuters. This indications made me fought that it is notable. Please help me if I am wrong. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 12:25, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hi! The Reuters link you listed is a press release, not a news article. It only gives one passing mention of "Jaikoz Audio Tagger" — certainly not "significant coverage". As can be seen in the bottom, it's written by "e5 Marketing, Inc." on behalf of Amplified Music Services and published by Business Wire — certainly not an independent source. -- intgr [talk] 12:55, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Your edit of Logicus's User Page.
Please remove your yesterday's edit of my user page immediately and restore it such that my signature appears in red again ! --Logicus (talk) 18:47, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Logicus. You're signature appeared red, since the page didn't exist. You call it a red link. As the page was created, it is impossible to revert it to the original state. If you want you're signature to display red, you could use the following coding:
'''[[User:Logicus|<span style="color:#ED0000;">Logicus</span>]]'''
. By using it, it would produce the following signature: Logicus. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 05:07, 28 October 2009 (UTC)- Thanks for the technical font pallaver info, but nevertheless please now delete the page you created to restore the previous status quo. And please don't interfere with my user pages again. Is there not a rule against doing what you have done ? Or some technical block on anybody other than the user creating a user page for them ? --Logicus (talk) 18:12, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- As I have said already, I could not delete the page, I could only revert my edit. Even if I do it, there would still be a page, just with nothing on it. You could file a CSD if you really want it deleted. Nope, there is no rule stating that. You could read trough the userpage guidelines, I just added a userpage notice. You have been a long time here, so please, it would be appreciated if you assume good faith. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 05:38, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Is there not a rule against doing what you have done ? Or some technical block on anybody other than the user creating a user page for them ? --Logicus (talk) 18:12, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi and thank you for looking at that! No one has taken up the offer yet, so you're free to go ahead and have at it. No time limit, other than the expiration date (which is next year sometime). Thanks again! Any questions just ask. Marx01 Tell me about it 22:20, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for coming back to me. I would write it as I get the time, but I am sure it wont be a problem. :) Kind regards, LouriePieterse 06:04, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Feedback on ENA Page
I've created my first Wikipedia page on Energetic Neutral Atoms. 10 days ago I'd never heard of ENAs but an announcement about new results on the heliosphere based on ENA imaging piqued my interest and I discovered that there was no page about them. I had some assistance from another experienced person regarding format and such but would appreciate someone reviewing the article and providing feedback. I've asked for feedback as to accuracy of content from some folks who are specialists in the field as well. Thanks! Canuck100 (talk) 07:21, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Canuck! Sorry for the long time it took me to reply. It is always great if editors take the route you followed in creating an article that is needed. With what exactly do you want me to help you? Check the format, or check for the accuracy? Kind regards, LouriePieterse 09:07, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- I think it's accurate and the format is OK. I have a goal of making it a GA. Is it close? If now, what should I do to improve it? Thanks Canuck100 (talk) 09:10, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- I could maybe check it trough sometime for you. I've written a few GA's. Unfortunately I am currently very busy until next Tuesday. I wont be able to do a thing till then. If it is fine with you, then I would check it then for you. LouriePieterse 11:13, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- No problem, it's not going anywhere, lol ;) Canuck100 (talk) 22:09, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Afrikaanse Wikipedia
Ek wil definitief by die Afrikaanse Wikipedia betrokke raak, ek moet net eers so paar goed uitsorteer. Groete, LouriePieterse 16:13, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi! I'm looking at this unblock request and I'm a bit confused; how does User:Alastair McIntosh draw a username block related to Gustavo Gutiérrez? --jpgordon::==( o ) 19:06, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- I came here to say exactly the same thing, and have also asked the blocking admin to clarify the situation. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:52, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- I left my comment on the talk page of the particular user. LouriePieterse 11:39, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
