Answer to sandbox question

edit

The sandbox is if you want to make test edits, meaning you can put anything you want in the sandbox, I've used it before. - EvilLair ( | c) 23:40, 12 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

I saw the vandalism counter on someone else's user page, I decided to copy the template. Also, about the username color in my userpage title, I just used {{DISPLAYTITLE:}}, then after the :, I put , put some of my username in there, and then after that, I put . I used the font color tags basically. It's kinda confusing, I can't describe. -- EvilLair ( | c) 01:48, 16 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, to make text colored on Wikipedia, just use <font color="<color>"><text></font>. - EvilLair ( | c) 21:26, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Those are badges given to Wikipedians that are apart of the Teahouse. - EvilLair ( | c) 01:22, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for being 3 days late

I don't know what you mean by edit group. If you mean user rights, you have to apply for them after you've met a certain amount of requirements. For example, you have to have a long history of vandalism reversions to get rollback rights but they have a set edit requirement (I forgot what it is). EvilLair ( | c) 10:56, 16 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Finding vandalism

edit

Just go to Special:RecentChanges and refresh every second until you see an edit where someone has vandalized a page (you'll notice because it'll say something suspicious like "page blanked" or "possible vandalism", etc.). There's like hundreds of edits published every second from my experience. Or maybe a page you're following (such as a TV series, video game, or artist/song you like that you're following its article on) and then if someone vandalizes it, hit "undo" or if you have Twinkle which lets you perform the reversion actions much quicker, click "undo (VANDAL)" and it'll undo the edit without asking you to provide a summary. Then, go onto the vandal's page and use Twinkle to give them a warning. You can enable Twinkle in your Wikipedia preferences under "Gadgets". - EvilLair ( | c) 03:27, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

If you're speaking specifically Italian to them, use the latter. If they know English, use the former (if you're speaking English) so other users understand. Otherwise, people would still be able to understand if you use Italiano in an english sentence. Sorry for not replying yet, I was too lazy to log in. EvilLair ( | c) 23:55, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Now that you've reverted the vandalism, you can leave a message for the person warning them not to do that again. But you don't have to. DS (talk) 20:56, 25 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ltblood. We appreciate your enthusiasm but please refrain from tagging articles for now – some maintenance tasks are not suitable for beginners. New Page Review requires significant experience, which you don't have yet. However, if you have already made at least 200 mainspace edits, you can enroll at the Counter Vandalism Academy to learn about keeping pages free of nonsense. Consider doing recent changes patrol for vandalism instead. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 07:09, 5 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
