Dear Mailer diablo,
Thank you for participating in my recent RfA, which closed successfully with 22 supports, 1 oppose, and 2 neutrals. Whether you supported, opposed, stayed neutral or simply commented or asked a question, I would like to thank you for your time and for your comments. Special thanks must go to User:Lar and User:John, who not only conommed, but also devoted a large proportion of their time coaching me. I am sure that what I have learnt during the coaching process can be put to good use as an admin. As an admin, I will be willing to help out with anything I can so please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything I could help out with. I will also do my best to address any concerns raised during the RfA.
Thanks.

Looking for a bit of help
editI understand there are some tools to help admins close AfDs. I was wondering if you happened to know where I might find them? Thanks, Pigman☿ 01:25, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
I have been interesting in writing a decent article for Shank Hall. Now that I have newly acquired the admin flag, (thanks in part to your approval!), I see that there is something salvagable in its deletion history that I can expand upon. You speedy deleted it in Feb. 2007. I understand from the New Admin training that it is proper protocol to request your opinion. Am I following the rules too close to the letter? I'm a bit conservative since I haven't used my powers for real yet. If and when I undelete, should I restore it's history, rapidly replace the db tag with the inuse tag, and write it from there? You can respond here on your talk page. Royalbroil 20:24, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Four Seasons AfD
editI have been reading into the Four Seasons AfD while looking into a similar problem with another page, I was wondering whether it would be possible for me to have a final copy of the page, before it was deleted so as I can compare it with other articles. Thank you in advance. --Fuelboy (talk) 20:38, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Synovate
editHi Diablo, I was hoping you could help with an editing dispute. I added a reference about a market research company called Synovate, which states that the company have been reported to the website www.whocalled.us as a source of cold-call marketing. This edit has been deleted anonymously, without any discussion (in spite of the fact that I had been talking to Rwizard about this very issue). I have already rolled back once, and before doing so again I thought it best to defer to a higher authority. Thanks, Joconnol (talk) 21:25, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Joconnol

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Odex-defaced.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Odex-defaced.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 17:08, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
RFA thanks

Dear Mailer diablo, Thank you for supporting in my recent RfA. Words nor pictures can express my heartfelt appreciation at the confidence the community has shown me. I am both heartened and humbled by this confidence. I will carry the lessons learned from the constructive criticism I have received with me as I edit Wikipedia, and heed those lessons. Special thanks to Pedro and Henrik as nominators. Special thanks to Rudget who wanted to. A very special thanks to Moonriddengirl for her eloquence and perceptiveness.
Your support message always cracks me up.

Deletion
editHi there! While I appreciate the sentiment of relisting issues to get wider consensus, might I suggest that relisting something three times in a row (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Agon (tokusatsu)) probably isn't all that productive? If nobody cares about it for several weeks, arguably that's a "no consensus". Yours, >Radiant< 22:39, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Relisting
editIf you are going to relist articles on AFD (as you did with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thieves' Guild (Elder Scrolls)), please make sure you edit the main AFD pages for the two days to move them to the appropriate date (here, you should have moved the AFD from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2007 November 27 to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2007 December 4). I've done it for you, but please be aware of this in future. Thanks. Neil ☎ 11:33, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Question
editI see that you closed [1] , [2], and [3]; I want to do the same for Dr. Mary Albright and [4] but don't know how. 1) Can you do it for me? and 2) Can you show me where to go to learn how to do this for future reference? Thanks! --Maniwar (talk) 16:14, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

British Arctic Territory
editI am not happy that you and others have gone out of your ways to remove projects I have painstakingly put together. The British Arctic Territory is an educational piece whereby the person in charge (Clay Moss) teaches students at the international schools social studies and mock government. It IS listed at http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/gb!bat.html which is the official Flags of the World Database. Clay Moss & I work together on projects on the BAT and vexillological projects as well.
Wikipedia is supposed to be a site people can edit and update but when I try to do so, I am plagued with prejudices and biased opinions of editors. It'd be fine if you removed spam but the articles and links I have been adding have been educational projects. So what's the basis for your deletions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ejrs (talk • contribs) 09:11, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Requesting advise for the possible restoration of an article "Center Tagumpay ng Katotohanan" (Triumph of Truth)
editI was really surprised why my contribution was deleted, it is just my intention as a beginner to share of what I believe is an important input;
I wish to be corrected to conform to your standards, it so happen that I was out of the circulation for health reason, I am not really a professional writer, hence your help is very much welcome to fix needed improvement of the article and please reconsider your decision for the restoration of the article.
Thank you

Please Add British Arctic Territory back to the wikipedia project
editHow would you consider the source you have provided to be a reliable one? - Mailer Diablo 11:33, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
The Flags of the World Database is much more reliable than a lot of info on wikipedia as it has professionals in the field of Vexillology. (Frankly it's a whole lot more reliable than the "Evolution of Man" theories which are forced upon us despite there being lack of supportive evidence - missing links etc.).
As you can see from the below link, the British Arctic Territory was setup by Clay Moss, (advisor to the former governor of one of the states in the US during the modifications of a few US state flags). He is on the committee of the Flags of the World Database.
http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/gb!bat.html
This project is used to teach kids in International schools about mock government and social studies.
I am working with Clay Moss on this project and the Vexillological projects to teach students about the world, their flags etc. EJRS
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Farecard-adult.gif)
editThanks for uploading Image:Farecard-adult.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 20:40, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

League of Copyeditors roll call
edit
Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.
