DGX

You're DGX!!?!!?!?! --GeorgeMoney T·C 23:08, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

WOW!!! --GeorgeMoney T·C 23:10, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm, I did wonder about DGX, for a new user "he" new a lot, but I never would have guessed it was you. So did I treat this "new user" to your satisfaction? Prodego talk 23:11, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
I never would have guessed! Just looking back at the creation log, he is pretty new. I thought he was here for a year! You fooled me! But, I have two questions. First, why did you pick DGX? And second, who did you tell? --GeorgeMoney T·C 23:13, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Well, I am pretty sure you told nathanrdotcom, and maybe Master of Puppets. The reason I am so sure with nathan is that he took a liking to DGX pretty fast... And, now that I look at DGX's old userpage, it is very similar to your old userpage. --GeorgeMoney T·C 23:19, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
And see this. I didn't know however. Prodego talk 23:20, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
No, no, the words. Prodego talk 23:24, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Eexcellent, you're back, as Moe at least. I'll now resume beating you for not telling me. Or maybe you did... I can't remember, horrible short-term memory... :P Master of Puppets FREE BIRD! 23:26, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Anyone who left anyway. ;-) Glad to have you back, even if you do decide to leave again (don't). Prodego talk 23:30, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

"Wow, 7,000 edits. Wish I had that many. ;-)" har har har. :-\ Prodego talk 23:52, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

I guessed that, from the smiley. ;-) Prodego talk 23:54, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes it is funny :-D. Speaking of which, do you mind trying to calm down Nathan? He has come under a lot of pressure lately, currently over his signature, he could use some support. Thanks. Prodego talk 00:00, June 4, 2006
Heh, user page vandalism already? The vandals must love you! :D Anyway, it's wonderful to have you back, dear Moe! Cheers, Sango123 01:02, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

No problem at all. Prodego talk 01:24, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Userpage undeleted. Prodego talk 01:25, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Ah ha! This should have given it away. [1]!. Prodego talk 01:30, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
The edit pattern was all wrong, what newbie starts out creating a custom monobook file? I noticed the odd pattern (not that in particular though), but I didn't investigate *bangs head on wall*. Got anything else to undelete? Prodego talk 01:41, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
They are back. I hate those fake "new message" (or new massage) banners, do you really need one? Prodego talk 02:02, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
If you want to get rid of the "new messages" look at Wikipedia:WikiProject CSS/Code/nonewmessages which will remove the fake one and the real one. --GeorgeMoney T·C 02:41, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
All done. If you come up with anymore while I am online, don't hesitate to ask. Prodego talk 02:21, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Wait, so you're DGX? OW, my head hurts now :P --JFred 04:30, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

No problem, glad your back. --JFred 04:38, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
So if you (as DGX) already knew about WikiProject Pro Wrestling (as Moe), why did you wait for my invitation to join? --JFred 04:48, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Good point. --JFred 04:54, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

ROFL, I had forgotten about that. I was busy trying to remember what I said to you as DGX. --JFred 05:00, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Nopic

Hi Moe! Glad you're back. I'm wondering if I can upload a better quality image (.png) of the Nopic.jpg that says "No Image Available" instead? G.He 03:37, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. How does it look now? Good? Bad? The same? :) G.He 04:29, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
No problem. Glad you liked it. ;) G.He 04:35, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

My Thanks

I wanted to drop a brief note on your talk page (one admittedly not written to you only, but nevertheless truly meant) to thank you for your vote in my Request for Adminship, which concluded this evening. Even though it was unsuccessful, it did make clear to me some areas in which I can improve my contributions to Wikipedia, both in terms of the areas in which I can participate and the manner in which I can participate. I do plan on, at some point in the future (although, I think, not the near future), attempting the process again, and I hope you will consider participating in that voting process as well. If you wish in the future to offer any constructive criticism to me, or if I may assist you with anything, I hope you will not hesitate to contact me. Thanks again. — WCityMike (T | C)  ⇓ plz reply HERE  (why?) ⇓  04:28, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

DGX (and now the reproaches begin ;-)

Thanks for the smile. I am a little disappointed that the whole world now knows the secret about DGX. It was much more fun being one of the keepers of the secret ;-). And now, much of my good deletion work... down the drain. Oh well, Welcome back :-). NoSeptember talk 05:32, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Aha! 2 down, 3 to go. Can I guess another one? Well, I will anyways. I think you also told User:AyameIkuyu. Am I right? Currently I know you told Nathan and NoSeptember. I kinda guessed NoSeptember, because of that weird e-mail conversation you were having on NoSeptember's talk page.
--GeorgeMoney T·C 05:45, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
He didn't tell me, I figured it out from some clues and his editing pattern. The email exchange (for my part) was to let him know I knew without spilling the beans to the whole world. NoSeptember talk 06:05, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh. Then make that 1 down, 4 to go. --GeorgeMoney T·C 06:10, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
No need to keep digging, he has the right to have selected closest friends (and the two of us don't qualify :( ) and keep their identity secret. I'm just happy that I still have some basic sockpuppet detection skills left :-). NoSeptember talk 06:19, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Welcome back! I don't remember ever seeing anything about m:Right to re-appear. :P I've got to go now, but I'll leave a longer message here sometime tomorrow (later today UTC). --TantalumTelluride 06:04, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Welcome back!!

You don't know me, and I don't know you, but we know a lot of the same people, and I was always seeing your picture, and the fact that you were leaving, and I thought that was really sad, so I'm really glad to see you're back! I hope you have a really nice time here (this time round), and there won't be any certain users in real life, you won't be attacked, and you won't be wikistalked! Sorry if this message came across as odd... Sergeant Snopake 10:16, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Good to see you back man. You were a real help to me when I was just getting started on this site and I'd like to thank you for that now you're back. You're a vital member to this community and I wish you all the best in your future efforts. Once again, welcome back and best of luck. Normy 11:13, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Welcome back, friend! Its very hard to part with Wiki once you are hooked on to it for more than six months. I had the feeling that you will never come back, but you did. You have been always a great help to the community and do hope to see you editing regularly gain. Good luck! :) --Terence Ong 16:09, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Vandalise/Vandalize

Actually, it is correct in British English. Cool Cat created the page, and he uses British English. Otherwise, if it was me who made it, I would have spelt it "Vandalize"--Shanel § 00:45, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

I always try to use British English; one of the differences is that a lot of words ending in -ze get changed to -se ("vandalise", "criminalise" [I think], etc). :) — Nathan (talk) 21:29, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Welcome Back

I believe you left not long after I came, but I have seen the essence of you often. Maybe we can be friends, as you seem to know quite a few of my friends. :) Anyways, welcome back! LINUXERIST@ 01:25, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Cool, you can add yourself to mine as well. :) I must say, your fake message box was the first to get me for some reason. :P LINUXERIST@ 01:40, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Can you add me too? Please? I don't like it when I am not on peoples friends list (even if they are my enemy). I don't know if you DGX remembers the fight me and nathan had over his friendslist? --GeorgeMoney T·C 01:54, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. --GeorgeMoney T·C 02:31, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Warning on my user page

Hi, you just left a warning on my user page: [3]. Could you explain why you put it there? Paul Cyr 03:19, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Could we just sort this argument out, he says they're insulting, i'll take my chances with Magic, Freddy and John Kerry. Batman2005 03:23, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

I think i'll just wait, I find it rather amusing, especially the ridiculous template on my page saying that i could be sued. Batman2005 03:27, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
The one that he put on my page about me being sued for defamation. Batman2005 03:33, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

I knew you would come back, Moe so welcome back

I been trying my dardest to keep Wikipedia (pro-wrestling area anyway)vandal free. AWA: Superstars of Wrestling: I still think we need to redo the articles so they show both AWA: Classic & AWA:Superstars of Wrestling the respect they desire. I also wish old-time wrestling fans would come online and make the Classic Pro Wrestling Era articles as good as todays stars. BionicWilliam 04:05, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Welcome back (full-length version)

It should have been so obvious, with so many edits to World Wrestling Entertainment and HIM (band), not to mention your monobook.js. When a user's first edit is to a .css or .js file, he's most likely a sockpuppet of an experienced user. Anyway, I'm glad you've come back, even though you never really went anywhere. I guess you could say I'm glad you revealed your secret identity, because you've been a reliable friend. I strongly believe you could be trusted with the sysop tools, but it will be especially difficult for you to pass an RfA with your unusual background. I know you have a desire to become an administrator, and I certainly hope you do eventually. I encourage you to wait at least a few months, though, before accepting a nomination. Otherwise, it might seem like you're too eager, which I think has been the main problem with your string of failed RfA's. Also, it might be a good idea to not leave again. Leaving the project temporarily and/or threatening to leave can be seen as immature and disruptive. However, I'm certain that the community can be forgiving in this respect, since they've approved Essjay to be a bureaucrat and a few other returned users to be admins. Hopefully, you too will be able to earn back the community's trust. If there's anything I can do for you, let me know. Once again, welcome back! --TantalumTelluride 04:35, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

What about User:John Lake? The only reason he registered was to have a monobook. --GeorgeMoney T·C 04:41, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
I suppose some users might register just to have a customized monobook, but they most likely have a good bit of experience with editing Wikipedia, as anons or otherwise. --TantalumTelluride 04:52, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, don't leave again. Just take wikibreaks if you need to. Good idea about waiting until 2007 or something; that'll be enough time. --Fang Aili talk 17:42, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Why are you signing as King of Hearts? --Fang Aili talk 18:01, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Signature

G'day Moe. I need a bit of a tutorial on signatures. I want to make one myself but I don't know how. Can you help? Normy 09:25, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

I was thinking along the lines of having my username (Normy132) but having a part of the name linking to another area that's part of what I use (e.g. the "normy" part links to my user page, the "1" links to my talk page etc.). I wouldn't mind colouring each part of it either. Normy 10:54, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, looks good. Where do learn how to do that kind of stuff so I don't have to keep badgering people about it? Also, how do I set it as my sig? Normy 11:03, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks heaps for that. Yeah, that's sort of the way it goes on Wikipedia. Just pick up info discretely as you go. Thanks again. Normy132 11:26, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Eugène Diomi Ndongala Nzomambu

Why did you rename the article to Eugène Nzomambu? In case you didn't know Congolese have Postnames. Nzomambu is not his lastname. The definitive list of candidates for the 2006 presidential elections in the DR Congo clearly lists him as Eugène Diomi Ndongala, with Diomi as his lastname, Eugène as his firstname and Ndongala as his postname. Nzomambu is without a doubt another postname. ---moyogo 00:03, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Adminship situation

Moe, I think there may be trouble brewing in the adminship department. I can't be sure but the way things are shaping out it's not looking good. You're familiar with OzWrestlemaniac (talk · contribs), Venables001 (talk · contribs) and 203.45.248.72 (talk · contribs) right? I know, they're all the same person but his OzWresltingManiac account has put in a request for adminship and is getting his new counterpart Sara to vote for him. You can notice of "Sara's" page that it uses the same techniques as ozwrestlingmaniac. I'm not sure if you're the right guy to be talking to about this but is there anything you can do? The last thing we need is him as an administrator. Thanks again for the sig ---> Normy132 04:42, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks man, you're a real friend. Also, have you noticed this new WP: Australian Wrestlemaniacs thing he's set up? I've got a few issues with it. First of all it is hardly a valid project. Secondly all the members are the same guy and thirdly he's putting userboxes relating to the project and links to the project on the pages "that the project cares for". See Wrestling in Australia. I thought you weren't allowed to put userboxes on articles? Surely there's some sense in this guy. I'll get rid of the userboxes but as for the project I don't think there's much we can do. Normy132 04:56, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Hello Moe

Hello Moe. I had know idea that you were DGX when you reverted vandalism to my userpage after I became an admin. Welcome back. Thanks again for teaching me about WP:CSD, way back in Archive1 when I was starting out. It means a lot to me. Thanks, Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 05:19, 8 June 2006 (UTC).

Hi Moe, I tried to email you, but you did not specify an email address. If you can, could you specify it so that others can mail you? But if you chose not to receive mail, then that's fine. --Terence Ong 07:10, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

I've been threatened

Moe, I've been threatened and apparently been put in my place and according to that guy you have no respect around here. I feel you're the only one I can talk to about this. You've been a true friend to me but this is somethnig I really need help with. As you can probably see on my talk page this guy has told me to abandon you (which I wouldn't do on my grave) and in my talk page history his previous warning was a legitimate threat about how I shouldn't make significant changes without informing "them" (the wrestlemaniacs, i.e. him x 4) and will revert changes on the hour if I don't join "them". I've left a message on his talk page about it. Please help. Normy132 07:41, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, I would very much like a romantic relationship with both men and women (not at the same time!), and am perfectly happy to go as far as kissing etc, but I have no desire for sex at all. Maybe it's just my hormones at the moment, or something, because I haven't always felt like this. Although, it's been a while since I didn't feel this way. Who knows? No, it wasn't an odd question, I get asked it all the time! ;) Sergeant Snopake 08:44, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry if you were worried you might have offended me, but I'd decided to go upstairs and play Conker's Bad Fur Day (which has the best multiplayer section of all the games on the N64!), and I turned my computer off literally minutes before your question! Sergeant Snopake 08:50, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, that's what worries me! What will my potential partner think? Well, I don't have an aversion to sex, I'm just not interested. And I might feel entirely differently when I actually start practicing (as it were). Yeah, I bet you were worried! That must have been awful. :) Sergeant Snopake 23:31, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Re: Trolls

Thanks to you too Moe, you've been a true pal. I didn't think they'd get blocked so quickly, I thought it be a progressive thing that would take at least a week to see if they responded! Yeah, I find that funny he left that edited vandalism message there as well, even if you were editing or not. I think this will make things a LOT easier on us as well. Yeah it was a test. I couldn't decide whether the switch would take place before it was entered onto a page or after, so I just tested in my sandbox to see if it would paste the whole code. It did, so I reverted quite quickly :) Thanks for the concern all the same, — FireFox • 11:15, 09 June '06

To be honest I reckon it is still possible to do something like that, but it would requite a bit more thought and effort into thinking what to do! The only thing is, my exams have drained everything out of me and I don't have the energy to think about it right now, although I am sure it is possible some way. Maybe I'll have another look at it after exams :) — FireFox • 18:30, 09 June '06
Just GCSEs... in absolutely everything... Sciences, Maths, Languages, English... — FireFox • 18:34, 09 June '06
In a way I have already broken up... Because I am on exams, I am on study leave so don't have to be in school unless I have an exam, so technically I have been on holiday since the middle of May.. my last exam, however, is next Friday (June 16) so that's my last day in school. — FireFox • 18:41, 09 June '06
Hehe schools can be very stupid, yes. I have a little time on my own now, so I am experimenting with my sig now. It's pretty complicated and I probably don't have a chance. FireFox (talkcontribs) - yes, my sig is currently broken.
Gah, do you know how long it took me to figure out my current sig, which is more than complicated as it is! The final product (if I ever get one), is going to be a mix between <nowiki>, <noinclude>, <includeonly>, <code>, {{switch}}... argh! I'm always up for a challenge though =P — FireFox • 19:07, 09 June '06
Mine's already sizzled away... nothing much to lose then :) — FireFox • 19:16, 09 June '06
Hehe very witty reply =P This is scrambling up my brains as well... I will get it eventually, I am confident about it :) Where'd my sig go, I signed! :( FireFox (talkcontribs)
<groan> I don't know why I bother... I only wanted to be special ;-) </groan> — FireFox • 19:34, 09 June '06
Hehe ok, I'll leave that out of my final sig then. I am getting there, believe it or not - [4] wooo =P --FireFox (talkcontribs)
I thought I'd done it but then it went drastically wrong. Could you explain what you just said in your last message? Sorry, I am very slow this evening. -FireFox (talkcontribs)
I think it did yes... you're quite good with templates and stuff aren't you? Can you see anything obviously wrong etc with this: My preferences "sig" section is {{subst:User:FireFox/Sig2}}, which links to User:FireFox/Sig, and there is also this page for testing purposes... and when I enter ~~~ in my sandbox, it gives this. Any ideas? FireFox (talkcontribs).
Sure, go for it. Feel free to fiddle around with my own userspace if you like, my sig is in no working condition to use anyway =P {{User:FireFox/Sig}} As I was saying... FireFox (talkcontribs)
Ok :) Don't waste too much of your time on it, it's not that important. There's no hurry either :) FireFox (talkcontribs)
Hmm that's quite clever, yeah =D ...don't people get told off for not subst'ing sigs though? :( I've seen it happen before... Another thing, I've always had the raw sigs box ticked by the way, and I've always signed with three tildes too :) I noticed User:Haza-w/Signature, which seems to work as I want it to work, but I can't figure it out. It subst's the sig in too. FireFox (talkcontribs)
Ok, don't worry if you don't have the time. I am going to bed now, so thanks, and goodnight! :) FireFox (talkcontribs)

I love you! =D

I think it works - wooo! I've only had one test with it so far but it seems to work beautifully. Thanks so much :) — FireFox 16:46, 10 June '06

20000 edits

It took me 2+ years to get to 10000 edits; that you were able to do the same number in only 6 months is flat out impressive. Mind you, now that I'm at a job where I have very little to do, so cruise Wikipedia to kill time, I expect my next 10000 will come a little faster. I appreciate your response to my note! A job with little to do...

Trust me, Moe, it's not heaven, it's hell. With nothing to do, I look at the clock expecting to see a half hour passed, and it's only five minutes. And I have to be ready at a half second's notice to dump Wikipedia if my supervisor (or the office spy) suddenly pops into my office. Another problem is the nagging worry that =someone= is going to notice that I do f**k all for seven hours and decide that I'm redundant. No, I'd rather have enough to keep me busy so that the workday passes quickly, and I feel gainfully employed. Denni 23:55, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks
