editWelcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. In particular, please note Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Icons. We generally prefer fewer icons and too many can clutter a page. DrKay (talk) 17:17, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you so much DrKay. I am new to editing the wikipage. I've been adding the ribbon bars to the awards and decorations of the top people. I wish to know if it's alright and looks fine. --Oritsu.me (talk) 17:22, 23 October 2020 (UTC)-
- You could ask for opinions at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Icons, then you'd get more than one responder hopefully. DrKay (talk) 17:34, 23 October 2020 (UTC)

editPlease refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. You've been asked multiple times not to add ribbons, but you're still doing it. It is disruptive to continue with edits after being asked to stop. DrKay (talk) 15:27, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.

Disambiguation link notification for July 22
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Second Modi ministry, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kaushal Kishore. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Neelam Sanjiva Reddy
editJust commenting on your table, unrelated to whether it's necessary for the page or not. I remember that Neelam Sanjiva Reddy's term lasted into Indira Gandhi's second PM tenure through 1982, but it doesn't go that far in the table you've designed, only through 1980. V.P. Singh also has an extra set of brackets next to [NC].
Just passing through, have a nice day! SuperWIKI (talk) 14:28, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
- @SuperWIKI: Hi! Actually the parameters I have added mentions correctly that President Reddy served for two yrs with I. Gandhi, but the table sadly doesn't show that. I have tried a lot, but it did not work. If you can help, I'd be very happy! With regards - --Oritsu.me (talk) 15:08, 5 August 2023 (UTC)

editThanks for your contributions to Noraini Jane. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hitro talk 09:35, 25 February 2024 (UTC)

List of honours awarded articles
editHi Oritsu.me. Please don't add flag icons and links to the section headings of articles such as List of honours of Brazil awarded to heads of state and royalty because doing so can create MOS:ACCESS issues for certain Wikipedia readers using assistive devices as explained in MOS:HEAD and MOS:ACCIM. It's also preferable to avoid adding links, particularly WP:PIPEd links, to section heading for similar reasons and instead it's better to use WP:HATNOTES at the beginning of the relevant section for links. In addition, to links and flag icons, you also seem to be using WP:PSEUDOHEADings in cases where it's inappropriate to do so. Generally, it's much better to simply use regular section heading syntax, except in certain cases.
Some of the articles were previously cleaned up to make sure they were inline with the above mentioned Manual of Style guidelines, but you indirectly reverted the changes and restored the articles back to their non-compliant forms. It's OK if you didn't notice the edit summaries that were left explaining why the changes were made, but please don't re-add the flag icons and links to the section headings now that you do.
If you've got any questions about this, feel free to ask. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:48, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- Yes. I will be removing them at the earliest. Oritsu.me (talk) 14:47, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from ms:Mohamed Hashim bin Mohd Ali to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. For example: Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk pages of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, please add attribution retrospectively for that also, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Clearfrienda 💬 01:32, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. Despite all the warnings, you are adding ribbons again: [2][3][4][5][6]. It is disruptive to continue edits against community consensus after being asked to stop. DrKay (talk) 06:05, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Unreliable sources
editPlease stop citing content to images, as you have been doing at awards articles for royals. Stock photos are not reliable sources and it is OR to identify award regalia from them. Blog sources like Royal Watcher, Royal Central, and the Court Jeweller are also unacceptable. I just had to remove over 50kb of content attached to such sources rather than simply adding CN tags because individually culling all the Getty Images links would be a nightmare. I see you've had multiple recent warnings about your edits to nobility articles so I'm pinging @DrKay in case sanctions are on the table. JoelleJay (talk) 05:16, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- @JoelleJay: Thanks for letting me know. Regarding the article on the Dutch honours, you seem to have wiped away all the information on the Dutch recipients. Does that imply that all the names that I add were false or incorrect and should not be listed on the list of recipients? Oritsu.me (talk) 05:23, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- That information should not be added unless it is cited to reliable sources explicitly stating what the honor is and to whom it was given. Per WP:V, readers should be able to verify the information in our pages, and simply linking to images where the subject is wearing certain regalia that some editor identified does not achieve this. The burden is always on the editor wishing to add content to demonstrate that it is accurate. Additionally, even if it is all correct and verifiable, that does not mean it is suitable to include on WP; if there are not IRS sources significantly discussing the topic as a group, it is unlikely the list is notable enough for inclusion and individual honors may not be DUE on the honorees' articles. A tag has been placed on Template:Party shading/Indian National Congress requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2021_December_30#Template:Party_shading/INC. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
