  The Special Barnstar
I, Sarah, hereby award Petra MacDonald with the Special Barnstar for your excellent efforts at helping to maintain the article for Aisha, which has recently been getting a bit more attention than usual. Thank you for all you do for Wikipedia and free knowledge! SarahStierch (talk) 01:34, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I have to admit, I needed to look up Barnstar. I had no idea Wikipedia did this!

Merge discussion for The Meaning of the Qur'an

An article that you have been involved in editing, The Meaning of the Qur'an, has been proposed for a merge with another article. If you are interested in the merge discussion, please participate by going here, and adding your comments on the discussion page. Thank you. Wahj-asSaif (talk) 00:21, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for thinking of me, but I'm afraid all I did was correct the grammar. I have no expertise in this subject and I feel completely inadequate to address any content-based issues.Petra MacDonald (talk) 08:15, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Khadija bint Khuwaylid. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 09:27, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Small Suggestion

edit

Hey, I just wanted to pass on some advice I was given several years ago. A more experienced editor left a note on my talk page saying:

...you might want to add something (here's one possibility) to your userpage; it may give your edits more weight. (For some people, a redlinked userpage says "Newbie! Don't take his comments as seriously as you would otherwise!")

It was an easy enough thing to do, gave me a place to keep some helpful links, and removed one minor impediment that might have kept some editors from taking me as seriously as they might have otherwise. EastTN (talk) 18:45, 8 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Talk:Invasion of Banu Qurayza. There has been a content dispute, but before that can be resolved there is the question of whether this should be merged back into Banu Qurayza. Note that if it isn't, WP:SUMMARY would suggest that it's the main article and that the relevant content in Banu Qurayza should be a summary of the invasion article, which may not be a good idea. On Asmā' bint Abi Bakr and Aisha some editors are hanging speculation on Asma being exactly 10 years older than Aisha. From your comments on the Asmā' bint Abi Bakr talk page from about a year ago, you are familiar with Dhahabi as a source, so your input would be appreciated. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sa'id bin Zayd, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kunya. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Hajl ibn Abdulmuttalib

edit

Hello, Petra MacDonald. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Hajl ibn Abdulmuttalib, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Onel5969 TT me 16:50, 27 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
