Good to see you here again
editWelcome back, dear, and congratulations! So sorry I am late here... I am only able to be on erratically these days. I am so happy to see you here, though! Wikipedia is a brighter place with you in it. KillerChihuahua?!? 21:50, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

userpage suggestion
editHi Sharon, I like your new design. If I may be so bold to suggest a change... I read your touching tribute to those Wikipedians who have chosen to leave, and I wondered if you might want to add links to the different users' names. I hope that this message finds you in good spirits, and I hope that things are going better for all of your friends. --Kyoko 01:13, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- I would be honoured to write something for Elara, but I also wonder if she might prefer to write something herself. I can ask her if you'd like. Then again, it might be more meaningful to her if it were written without any input from her. Please let me know what you think. --Kyoko 12:53, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'll try to think of something appropriate. Thanks! --Kyoko 13:10, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- I put a preliminary text on your page. I hope Elara likes it. I tried to capture her outspokenness, her compassion, and her dedication to the project, before she decided to leave it. I wasn't certain whether to mention the many tragedies in her life. If you want to see an alternate dedication, look at this old revision of my userpage, under the "Some thoughts" section. --Kyoko 13:44, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'll ask her about it later, but I really have to go now. Have a good day! --Kyoko 14:04, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

editHey
editJust dropping by to hola! I didn't get chance to bump into you before you went on your extended wikibreak, but I've always been intrigued to meet the user that got nearly 300 on their RfA, you seam like one of the most pleasent wikipedians I have ever met. I wish you all the look in the future, and hope you don't decide to leave again! All the best, and if you ever need anything, you know where I am. Ryan Postlethwaite 17:47, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

RFC
editSeeing an admin in this Temporal single-system interpretation article was a massive relief. Seeing the crazy amount of edits and reverts that have been made on that page in the past day I (think) i opened a RFC on the talk page. It would be a great help if you could look at it and see if I put it in the right place or if I was supposed to post it somewhere else. I stuck my head in there for a minute and someone was already getting mean, haha. Anyway thanks for anyhelp I can get. MrMacMan Talk 20:01, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Simple English Wikipedia impersonator
editHello, Phaedriel. I am an administrator at the Simple English Wikipedia, and today I noticed a vandal-only account by the name of "Phaedriel" (talk page). It's clear that this account isn't you; therefore, I will submit a request to change the offending username to something else. Once the request is done, I strongly suggest you register an account over there to prevent any further impersonation. Cheers, Sean William 20:01, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- The vandal's account will be renamed within the next few hours or so, so you'll be able to re-register your name once that is done. I believe that, when renaming, the old account is "deleted" and replaced with the new account, in which case the name will be available. Sean William 21:17, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Update: Our two active bureaucrats haven't been around for the past few days. My request for temporary bureacrat access was denied by the stewards on IRC, so we'll have to wait until the 'crats return. Cheers, Sean William 23:39, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, I'm one of the local bureaucrats on the Simple English Wikipedia, I've now renamed the account so it should be ready for you to register. Sorry about the wait. Thanks, Archer7 18:17, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Elara description
editHi Sharon, I'm having a very hard time trying to get Elara's description just right. She's partly explained her reasons for leaving on her userpage, and extensively explained them in a long e-mail to her friends, but I am having difficulty distilling all that into a short statement. Because of that, I've asked another editor, appropriately named Editor at Large, to rewrite it as she sees fit. I hope you don't mind. I really want to get this right, but I keep going through different versions in my head, without finding one that is both short and accurate. I also want to say that it is very kind of you to list her on your page. --Kyoko 00:07, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

editHey Sharon, it is amazing how long it has been. I too remember those posts: it makes me smile to know that you remembered them as well! I got your message and was on my way to replying when my PC decided it was ripe for a freeze job. Now I am getting ready to whack more vandals before I depart for Never Never Land! Hope to receive a reply soon. I love hearing from you, we have much to catch up on! :) Cheers, KOS | talk 01:17, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Thank you
editThank you very much for the sunflower and kind words on my talk page it sure brightened my talk page which is more often rifled with complaints of why I deleted an article on somebodies band and vandalism by friends of gay people, than beautiful sunflowers. I would love to take you up on your offer to "blow a little magic wikifairy dust" over my userpage and make a little design (That is apparently an area I lack skills in). Of course I can forigve you for "hijacking" my userpage, its always to remeber that that I dont own it :). Also, thank you for your support of WP:DENY! Introducing new BC/Indigenous Wikipedian/friend
editHi Phaed, this will be one of my last wikinotes, email only after Monday night, maybe Sunday night only, and only tidying up last undone things; but among them was some advice I promised for User:OldManRivers, who is Sḵwxwú7mesh and Kwakwaka'wakw and has done a lot for indigenous peoples' perspectives/concerns/contents both in Wiki articles and how we've been organizing and titlign and defining them; Please see this on my talkpage and adopt OldManRivers for me - and you're who I would have come to looking for good regional/peoples pages like what he's asking for, i.e. representative indigenous peoples' articles worth modelling on for the scale/range of content he's wanting to build. Too long a story to tell you all the stuff we've collaborated on; I'll let him tell you all about it, and your help with BC First Nations and also WA/OR/ID/MT content and structure issues would also greatly be appreciated, if only as a doyenne/outside observer/editor if not as someone directly knowledgeable on this group of peoples; as always with Wiki this is how we wind up learning all the amazing stuff we do from it, by exploring and building it at the same time. I've said enough, so must sign off and hit the proverbial hay, but asking you "take over" Dustin for me and guide him as needed; you know far more about what's out there in Native American articles and the project overall than I do; he's another one that has my email address so any burning BC topic/content issues you can always bring to me; I just will be trying not to be on Wiki directly, for the reasons I told you about.... ;-) G'nite (and Hi Dustin; I know you'll find this!).Skookum1 09:52, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes Skookum1, I would find this (Mostly because you sent me the link to it...lol). And also Hello Phaedriel. I'm planning on starting an Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast for a bit more specific take on Indigenous peoples in this area as it differs considerably from the rest of the the America's, and even more specifically, the rest of Canada and the US. I've been using Indigenous peoples of North America to references Indigenous nations in the Pacific Northwest Coast, but it's too expansive and doesn't give enough information for what would be an introduction for outsides (or even insiders who don't know) about the Indigenous in those parts. I asked Skookum1 is he knew any articles that would be good to look at for reference, although this will be an interesting article. I don't even know if there is another article out there on a number of ethnic/nation groups within a geographical region. Either way, I think it's needed. An article like this would be a great introduction and spread out of all the Indigenous groups along the coast (Coast Salish, Nuu-chah-nulth, Kwakwaka'wakw, Haida, Tsimshian, Tling'it, Heiltsuk, etc.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Could you Please help me
edit- I don't know if you have the power to unblock articles, but if you do I need your help. Jaygy is wikistalking me and is blocking articles so I can't contribute to them. The articles are Alan Cabal, Kurt Nimmmo and Ward Churchill. Jaygy claims he's blocking them because of edit waring, but if you go to my talk page he all but admits that it's because he disagrees with my edits. I haven't violated the 3rr rule in any of these articles. He always seems to block the articles after the other person has restored there edits. In my opinion he has a bais against me.
- In the Kurt Nimmo article he still refuses to lift the ban even though an issue originally under contentio has been settled. Basically I am prevented from editing the article because I might edit another part of the article. In my opnion that shouldn't matter because once the origianal issue under contention has been settled, shouldn't I be allowed to contribute to other parts of the article.
- In the case of Alan Cabal, I reverted another editors edit once and jaygy called that an edit war even I had only been involved with that article for a short time. It's clear that he disagrees with my edits and he's hiding behind the mask of neutrality that he's just preventing further reverting.
- Could you please get these articles unblocked.annoynmous 04:36, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

MONGO RFARB
editHi Phaedriel, You may be able to save us all, and especially ArbCom, some time. You have said that I "receiv[ed] an apology from MONGO soon [after his remark was made]." Like I said, until the RfC (two months later, well into dispute resolution), I had not, to my knowledge, received anything of the kind. If you can provide the diff of MONGOs earlier (and, I imagine, unforced) unconditional apology and retraction then I am in the wrong. I will not only withdraw the RFARB but withdraw from Wikipedia with apologies for having wasted the community's time all along, and for having wrongly impugned MONGO's civility.--Thomas Basboll 08:18, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
