Proposed deletion of List of United Kingdom bird clubs and ornithological societies

edit

The article List of United Kingdom bird clubs and ornithological societies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication as to how this article satisfies WP:SAL. The vast majority of the entries are red links which seem to have little chance of ever becoming viable stand-alone articles. Removing them with leave only a few entries, whose Wikipedia notability also appears questionable at best. Primary purpose of the article seems to have been to create a online directory of these organizations which is not really what Wikipedia is about.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Speedy deletion nomination of African Bird Club

Proposed deletion of Ruth Lea

edit

The article Ruth Lea has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Very little biographical coverage in RSes; CBE might suggest some notability, but even that needs the material, which appears not to exist. WP:BEFORE doesn't show any either - mostly content by the subject, but vanishingly little about the subject, which would meet any of the four prongs of WP:JOURNALIST/WP:ECONOMIST. Does independent, third-party, biographical coverage of the subject in reliable sources exist?

Proposed deletion of Lill pin

edit

The article Lill pin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not really seeing significant usage in sources outside of circular sources, even as an entomologist. Even more common minutens wouldn't get their own article. Doubtful on anything to merge elsewhere either.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
