Hello

Apologies if this is the incorrect way to communicate.

You just contacted me with regards to an edit I made on Dvin (ancient city), claiming it was "unconstructive".

The piece I editted suggests Dvin was one of the largest cities east of Constantinople. This claim is referenced to the work Armenia: Art, Media and Trade in the Middle Ages, which I have a copy of, which checking in it in turn refers this claim to work done by Garsoian in 1991, p.666. I have been unable to obtain this work, so cannot see where Garsoian has obtained the dimensions of Dvin before its destruction. However, the map of the ruins provided on the Wikipedia page matches the ruins that are still visible - roughly a round-cornered triangle with the greatest dimension of about 500m. Given that many medieval cities in China were in excess of 5,000m in length or breadth, many cities east of Constantinople were truly enormous. Nanking was about 10km in one dimension and Dvin could have been put on the small Qingliangshan hill that housed the Fayan Temple-Monastery. Chang'an was 13km diagonally from corner to corner and over 82,000,000sqm, while Dvin was only 108,000sqm, making Chang'an over 800 times large!

This was also the case with many other cities in Asia east of Constantinople, such as those in Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, several very large cities in India, several on the Silk Road in what might be referred to as Persia, and especially several cities nearby in Mesopotamia and environs such as Baghdad and Tabriz, and even Ani, the former capital of Armenia. All this would actually make Dvin one of the SMALLEST cities east of Constantinople as I can see no archaeological evidence for a larger city around the visible remains. These remains are in fact about the average size of a small medieval town.

Can you please explain how pointing this out is unconstructive? If someone who has not seen many of the medieval remains of the world like I have reads that, looks at the remains, and then believes those remains to represent a large city, they are going to be very confused looking at all the other medieval cities that are clearly much bigger.

Nobbo69 (talk) 01:27, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

You wrote it in a way that conveyed that it might've not been the largest city as compared to the current ruins, many factors can affect the ruins and there were no sources backing up the idea it might've not been. Wiiformii (talk) 01:38, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
Here is my source - I have just found a map of the lower city, and it is just over 1sqkm, so about 10 times larger than the citadel that is clearly visible.
https://mir-s3-cdn-cf.behance.net/project_modules/fs/3f88c031097593.564129dc47758.jpg
This still is NOT even close to being one of the largest cities east of Constantinople - whoever made that claim has not seen many other cities. As I said, Chang'an was over 82sqkm - 82 times bigger! And there are many other cities in China like Beijing and Kaofang and Hangzhou that were much bigger. Kyoto and Kamakura in Japan were much bigger. Soeul, Kaeson and Pyongyang in Korea were much bigger. Hanoi was much bigger. Several cities in India were much bigger. Samarkand, Balkh, Tabriz, Merv, Herat, Shiraz were all bigger. Even Chalkedon straight across the Bosphoros was bigger, as was Ephesos, Ani, Smyrna, Nikaia, Nikopolis, Rhodes, Baghdad, Cairo, Alexandria, the capital of Java, the capitals of the Thai and Burmese states, and so on and so forth.
It is a claim that does not stand up to scrutiny. Nobbo69 (talk) 02:22, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
Feel free to make edits with evidence and citations, I just reversed it due to it being unconstructive at the time. Wiiformii (talk) 02:23, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
Looking at cities nearby, medieval Ankara was twice the size, Tabriz, only 200miles away, was 17 times larger. It was about the same size as Ani, but Ani has some satellite areas. Nisibis was 5 times larger. Baghdad was at least 15 times larger, though its actual limits are now difficult to determine. Sultaniyeh in Iran was over 20 times larger. I collect maps of medieval cities and I plot them on Google Earth. I have it all open here right now. Dvin was a middling sized medieval city that was destroyed by the Mongols and forgotten, like many others. It was important for a while, housing one of the several rival Armenian Catholikos Patriarchs, who moved elsewhere afterwards. Dvin is not even "large", let alone "largest". I think it is perfectly acceptable to challenge that claim. Nobbo69 (talk) 02:44, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
Kids read Wikipedia, and if they see something saying "largest", then they will think that is the largest, that's interesting to them. Nanjing and Chang'an were enormous, easily the biggest cities of the medieval period, and Dvin comes nowhere close. Nanjing's arsenal-docks were bigger. Angkor Wat, the temple of Angkor in Cambodia was larger than Dvin, as was the Royal Palace, let alone the actual city, which spread for miles around it. It was defended by waterways and canals and not walls, so it is difficult to assess its full size. That looked to me like weasel words. I checked the references and could not see where they were making such a claim from, so I gently challenged it by suggesting that what can be seen does not show it as "largest" by any means. Nobbo69 (talk) 02:51, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
Don't threaten to take people's editing rights away. I won't report you for that this time. Nobbo69 (talk) 02:53, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
I didn't take it that deeply, I just saw that there was no citation or evidence at the moment and it appeared to be unconstructive. Now that there is information available you can apply it to the article if you want. Wiiformii (talk) 03:19, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
Why have you removed it again? I have shown with a reference how large the city was - about 1sqkm - which is NOT even large, let alone largest? Nobbo69 (talk) 03:40, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
??? I didn't remove anything? Wiiformii (talk) 03:50, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

Removing added context to Mar Mari Emmanuel article

Hello, why did you remove my addition to his article of his stabbing, that the assailant was proclaiming allahu akbar while stabbing the bishop? 162.255.33.226 (talk) 18:16, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

Removing my edit on Indian Preservation article

Hi. How was my edit/addition biased? I simply added a fact which makes allows the reader to understand the greater context of Canadian Indian reservations. In no way did I mention any quality of said reservations that are positive/negative. I would like this edit to be reinstated. 92bob (talk) 22:40, 17 April 2024 (UTC)

There was information that was not relevant to the article that was uncited. Wiiformii (talk) 22:43, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
As per the Wikipedia revert policy, "Do not revert unnecessary edits (i.e., edits that neither improve nor harm the article). For a reversion to be appropriate, the reverted edit must actually make the article worse." My edit perfectly fits that description. I will now re-revert it. 92bob (talk) 23:00, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
In addition, once again per the Wikipedia revert policy, "Reverting tends to be hostile, making editing Wikipedia unpleasant. Sometimes this provokes a reciprocal hostility of re-reversion. Sometimes it also leads to editors departing Wikipedia, temporarily or otherwise, especially the less bellicose or the inexperienced. This outcome is clearly detrimental to the development of Wikipedia. Thus, fair and considered thought should be applied to all reversions given all the above." Please take this into consideration.
This policy comes above all else, including our personal opinions on reverting. Have a great day. 92bob (talk) 23:02, 17 April 2024 (UTC)

Hey. I am just wondering how many hours per day you spend on wikipedia, and how long you have been editing. 92bob (talk) 22:50, 17 April 2024 (UTC)

Jake Chansley Page

There is a claim that he has recanted his conspiratorial views. The reference article does not support that claim. Furthermore as of 4 months ago, he is openly expressing his belief in them and that he only said he stopped believing them to please the judge durin his criminal trial per this video interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6axTQOyfejU

That statement should be removed from his page. 2601:152:4F00:59:A811:F9BE:CC05:AF3D (talk) 00:43, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

Oi cara.

User:Barr Theo is in the middle of a "insane streak of creations", so he asked me to tell you to stop archiving the references of the pages created by him (you have already done it three times). He will personally archive all of them once the streak is over on 1 June 2024.

Rollback

Hi Wiiformii. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Fastily 00:53, 7 May 2024 (UTC)

March 1st Movement reversion

Respectfully crossposting this discussion on a significant reversion this user made for visibility. I think the reversion wasn't handled in the best way. I respect that this user does a lot of helpful work combating vandalism, but protocol is also important. Reversion rights are a responsibility that should be cautiously used. 104.232.119.107 (talk) 02:40, 7 May 2024 (UTC)

Cameron Stewart

Quick question on the intersection of 3RR and vandalism, this edit by Rsparkles puts them past 3RR on the Cameron Stewart. You reverted a subsequent edit they did (where they again restored their preferred wording) but did not restore the larger bit of content removal. When an editor goes past 3RR, is that considered a vandalism issue where you can just revert as needed (ie. would it be a violation of 3RR for me to restore a more stable version of the article even though I've reverted this editor & an IP three times)? Sariel Xilo (talk) 21:41, 7 May 2024 (UTC)

You have a good point, they did go past WP:3RR and I am not sure if that would be a vandalism issue, although it seems the larger problem is the WP:EW at play. I would just be safe and just not go past it even if it was to restore good content and I think a report to [Reports]] may help in this. Wiiformii (talk) 21:45, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
In the middle of this, I requested page protection. I was hoping to avoid going to the noticeboard but you're probably right that is the next best step. Thanks! Sariel Xilo (talk) 21:49, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
True, it also seems they might also be using another device or while logged out to mask their changes removing controversy at the same time (IP adress) [[1]] Wiiformii (talk) 21:56, 7 May 2024 (UTC)

Mexicans in Hawaii moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Mexicans in Hawaii. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. GMH Melbourne (talk) 15:04, 9 May 2024 (UTC)

Banners on James H. Evans

I've noticed that you've made edits to the article James H. Evans at the same time as me, so I'll quickly ask you about the banners I added. I'm new to Wikipedia, so what's the correct way of dealing with banners when there are a lot of relevant ones needed? Plus you seem to be active at mitigating vandalism on Wikipedia, so does it look to you as though I've vandalised the article? If so, please swiftly remove. BlueSharkLagoon (talk) 13:18, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

What kinds of banners do you mean? I did not see your edits so I am not sure. Wiiformii (talk) 17:00, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
No problem, I got it sorted. I was talking about the banners I placed at the top of the article about COI etc. I initially placed them stacked, but I found a template to group them all. Thanks anyway. BlueSharkLagoon (talk) 18:53, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
You're welcome and thanks for clarifying, as for the vandalism I reviewed it and didn't see anything with bad intention. Wiiformii (talk) 18:54, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Please keep file source URLs, even for public domain files

Thanks for the great work you're doing in retagging images whose copyrights have expired! I just have two pieces of advice.

  1. I noticed that at least in some cases [2] [3] you've deleted the source URLs that the uploader provided. Even for public domain files, source URLs help to tracing the image's origin, including for evaluating the image's suitability for Commons. Please keep these! Consider using the template {{Information}} to organize this information.
  2. If an image has hidden revisions you can request unhiding at WP:REFUND.

Happy editing, Wikiacc () 23:47, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Thank you! I will make sure to keep the information given in the original files. Wiiformii (talk) 23:49, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

May 2024

Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage editors. Please see what is not vandalism for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. Thank you. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 15:27, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

Hi! I reverted your edits due to them including issues that did not exist in the article and deletion of controversial material Wiiformii (talk) 15:37, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
Reasoned removal of content is not vandalism. Please familiarize yourself with this topic before marking not-vandalism edits as vandalism. Unexplained removal of content can and should be reverted (and marked as such), but my removal had a clear edit summary explaining my reasoning. If you disagree, you can of course revert, but it's hard to see why the inclusion of some primary local government council report of a fine being issued, despite no secondary reporting, should be included, nor did you offer any explanation about it. It's also hard to see why the controversial[sarcasm] sentence "The Sam's brand expanded from 1990 to 1991 with the introduction of a "2 For 2" deal, consisting of two strip burgers and two portions of chips for £2." should have been retained. Please pay more careful attention. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 16:18, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
I was referencing the controversy you removed, it might come off as a WP:NPOV view as it might be seen as you were trying to remove criticism and controversy from the article. I agree with that portion of the removal as it did not add to the article but primarily reverted it for the deletions of controversy Wiiformii (talk) 16:33, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

Super Size Me

Why did you revert my edit on the Super Size Me page? 75.189.135.47 (talk) 01:36, 2 June 2024 (UTC)

I reverted it as it did not talk about the impact of the film on society, but went off talking about the director which was confusing and seemed like reasoning for a claim "which added to the film's impact on audiences" I was also confused on "by making them recall the fact that it was his passion project that they would remember him for making." as it seemed to ramble on and did not connect to the impact. With best regards, Wiiformii (talk) 01:40, 2 June 2024 (UTC)

Be careful with reverts

You need to take content disputes to talk pages. I assume you ARE focusing on your reverts... right? 12.75.41.81 (talk) 04:05, 2 June 2024 (UTC)

What? I do not have a content dispute with anybody. I was working on anti vandalism work Wiiformii (talk) 04:06, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
You just reverted me, and added WP:COATRACK material to an article. I've pinged you at the talk page to explain the content you have readded. 12.75.41.81 (talk) 04:11, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
Wait... Did you assume because I removed a reference and I prefer not to have an account, I am a WP:VANDAL? Would you be willing to clarify why you reverted my edit while doing antivandalism work unless you mistook me for a vandal? 12.75.41.81 (talk) 04:18, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
See WP:GF that I used. You have assumed me of WP:COATRACK when I never wrote that. It seems you didn't assume good faith when I tried to, as I was genuinely confused with the removal within your changes. I truly don't believe anybody is inherently a vandal and Wikipedia would not exist without the open edits of millions. Wiiformii (talk) 04:23, 2 June 2024 (UTC)

The Duke of Death & His Maid - Anime Edits

Hello,

I made recent edits to this anime's article and believe you made a mistake in reverting the page. The name of one of the character's was spelt incorrectly and provided more of a description for Mr. Flea. I also added The Duke's grandmother, Liz as she is a character in the television series. Remove of information

G'day Wiiformii

Thank you for contacting me and seeking citation but as I'm new to the wiki editing platform, I ask that you bear with me as I get up to speed.

I'm reaching out because you have removed my edits.

These edits have been made under the direction of the person who's Wikipage I've been tasked to edit, in this instance Mr Jeremy Buckingham, MLC.

For the record, no edit has been made that is untrue, and given the specific edits that you have removed; it would be difficult to provide links/citations for the simple fact that there are no internet records available at that time.

My edits are there only to personalise the narrative, not embellish or stray from the facts.

Please let me know how we can resolve this in a timely manner.

Revert edit Erkki-Sven Tüür

You reverted my edits on article Tüür. This was constructive and Work for a day. Why? 195.202.44.90 (talk) 17:44, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

David A. Whelan.

I noticed some errors in my graduation dates from UCLA and corrected those. Then I notice some details missing on career positions and highlights, so I added those. I finally added that I retired from Cubic back in Jan 2023. I have not participated using or joined Wikipedia. Not sure how best to make changes.

Revert edit Shobna Gulati

Jeremy DeWitte edits

I have court records to back up my edit regarding the sentence at Jeremy's VOP hearing (there was also a Danger Hearing) but they are not persistent links. There are persistent screenshots on Reddit.

Currently you are reverting verifiable information anyone can obtain in the 9th circuit Osceola Court archives but cannot be linked due to the temporary nature of the links returned by their archive search, you have to actually go do your own search but DeWitte has an extensive record to dig through.

Here is a reddit post with a screenshot confirming every iota I wrote, also confirmed by me via my own records search: https://www.reddit.com/r/JeremyDewitte/comments/146gqlh/seriously_63_days_and_a_fine_wtf/

However I assumes you do not accept links to reddit posts as evidence...? 2600:1700:DCD0:E30:58BA:17CE:6B6B:D6D8 (talk) 03:52, 16 June 2024 (UTC)

Why are you changing my edit. The edit to reflect that the source is anonymous health officials is accurate. What health officials, and from what organization?

Please clarify. 69.121.182.83 (talk) 04:12, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

Reuters is a reputable source, see Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources. The quotations give doubt and it is a developing story so much can change Wiiformii (talk) 04:15, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
The information provided in the article is extremely limited. Who are these health officials. Who are they affiliated with? Why is that information not included in the article? 69.121.182.83 (talk) 04:23, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
I am not sure, I did not make the article. Wiiformii (talk) 04:24, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
Then I will include "health officials" in quotes because I am quoting the article, and the article does not say who the supposed health officials are. Thus they are unnamed "health officials" according to the cited source. 69.121.182.83 (talk) 04:28, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

Why did you reverse all of my recent edits for the 2024 NBA draft?

I provide multiple sources confirming that the early entry NBA draft for 2024 was 100% official now, to the point where I even referenced a Twitter link (I refuse to call the place X) directly from the NBA's PR link (which is as close to official for the NBA as you can get without directly going to the NBA itself) for good measure. Both links listed the names that were officially left on the draft as of today, as well as names that decided to drop out on the international players deadline. Please revert your edit back to the most recent one made involving the early entrants list in question. Thank you very much for your time. – 71.223.150.139 (talk) 21:35, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

Unverifiable Information

Please reinstate my removal of unverifiable information in the Eilabun article. There is absolutely no confirmation of the cited book nor the bogus "ancient site" of "Ailabu." It's embarrassing. Cas623 (talk) 01:35, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

What is embarrassing? I do not have access to the citation so I can not say you're wrong or right, and you may as well be as content on Wikipedia is always changing Wiiformii (talk) 01:38, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
It is embarrassing that a theory is being presented as if it were a fact. You don't have access to the citation because it does not exist. Remove the sentence. Cas623 (talk) 01:41, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
What is embarrassing?? I solely reverted it because I saw deletion without any reason, I have no relations to the Eilabun article and do not know what it is, if you think it is not a proper citation it may be removed, and in the page history you can always revert Wiiformii (talk) 01:44, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
I've just given you the reason. I will go in again and remove the sentence. Cas623 (talk) 01:45, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
That's okay, I don't have any interest in articles about cities in Israel Wiiformii (talk) 01:46, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
Reposting: After extensive research, I could not locate any mention of an "ancient Hebrew site" called "Ailabu" including in 19th-century gazettes and topographies. The book listed by Immanuel or Emmanuel Hareuveni is also completely untraceable. This is ahistorical and misleading. Please remove it now. Cas623 (talk) 01:42, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

RE: Chad Brown Personal Life edit

Hi Wiiformii, Thank you for such a kind response. I am very new to this, so again thank you for helping me navigate this process. I have been watching this case since the beginning. I am a fan of Thoroughbred racing. The Daily Racing Form did not report on this correctly. This is not unusual for this industry. The industry reporters as a whole turn on trainers. I am not sure why, but they do. The Daily Racing Form is an industry paper and it is very bias. Chad Brown is a very successful horse trainer. As I put in the last message the prosecutor stated that there were difficulties with the witnesses statement. If you watch the video of Chad in court, the first video, the judge basically calls him a liar before any testimony was given. The prosecutor spent months dong discovery, this is all documented. Nobody knows what happened that night, but we do know that the prosecutor couldn't convict. Again it was NOT proven that he pushed the girl down the stairs and or chocked her. I don't think it is fair to ruin someones reputation on a statement that is proven to be at the very least to be inaccurate. Chad Brown claims she broke into his house. I don't know what happened, no one does except the people who were there. Chad Brown could be completely innocent or partially guilt. We just don't know. I think to keep the integrity of Wikipedia everyone should air on the side of caution. Just from your note to me you seem like a kind and fair person. The judge, Francine Vero, is self proclaimed to be a specialist in domestic violence. I have never heard of a judge specializing in anything. If you have any doubt. Please review the videos. She was very bias, at the end she let him plea to what is basically a traffic ticket. She didn't give him a fine, or do any community service or make him attend anger management classes. All standard for someone who is guilty. It's truly terrible to think that a girl can go to the police and accuse someone, ruin their reputation and this misinformation follows the person forever. Again I am a female, it upsets me when a women comes forth and discredits herself. If Chad Brown is the type of person that she describes, he will do it again and then the world will know. But if he isn't and it was all a set up... all a lie, his reputation shouldn't be ruined. I hope you agree. I don't believe any of it should be up. The prosecutor said there was difficulties with her statement. The case should have been dismissed. Sorry I have written you a novel. I think it is Wikipedia's job to protect people if there is any doubt. Will you agree to take this down? Thank you Annointed777 Annointed777 (talk) 03:45, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

Just curious

You reverted Shadia Abu Ghazaleh back to terrorist in the first sentence. What’s the source?I presume you. Know about WP:Terrorist. This is a NOT a criticism, it’s just that I noticed that the word was added by an editor as their 503rd edit and I had thought it would be removed. But I haven’t had time to see if is properly sourced but it doesn’t seem to be. I’m not getting involved as an editor. Doug Weller talk 17:42, 20 June 2024 (UTC)

@Doug Weller It might've been an accidental revert as many people were messing with the article before ECP, seems like there was some Wikipedia:Gaming the system also involved as the editor started editing very contentious topics right when they got 500 edits. I don't think there were any citations either so terrorist would be a contentious label for her, but another editor with more knowledge may know better about the topic than me. User warning usage

Hello! I noticed your recent application of a level 4im template to 2605:B100:B3B:1A08:E58E:3961:D09C:75FE (talk), and I thank you for your help in fighting vandalism on Wikipedia. However, it seems that you used a level 4im template as the level after level 4 (correct me if I'm wrong). Level 4im templates are for giving a user a level 4 warning as their first warning (the im seems to stand for immediate). Just thought you might need to know. I literally explained the content I removed in my summary. (Voice of Reason party)

Please do not instantly revert my changes to an article that is being completely trashed by ideologues. Citing blogs and biased news sites does not override the official positions stated by the Voice of Reason party. Thank you. 2A02:587:5468:2800:6063:A88E:4295:5102 (talk) 21:46, 22 June 2024 (UTC)

Hello, please explain how the sources are biased? Use the talk page to find consensus also as it may seem like vandalism. Wiiformii (talk) 21:47, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
That's exactly the issue. I did attempt at starting a discussion on sources on the article's talk page but none of the people who are reverting my changes are using it. It's legitimately the definition of vandalism. So please, until someone actually explains the changes through the talk page, don't insta revert my edits. As to why the sources are biased, I can go one by one on most of them, but the majority of them are either blogs with no primary sources in them, or just opinion pieces of journalists, which do not define a party's political position, the party itself does. I think that answers it pretty clearly. 2A02:587:5468:2800:6063:A88E:4295:5102 (talk) 21:53, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
Hi Wiiformii, I believe you have been deceived or manipulated here. Could you please revert the edit? The IP address involved has been consistently lying in the edit summaries, pushing a narrative aligned with the party or displaying right-wing views that contradict their supposed stance. They removed five sources supporting the claim that the party is far-right, replacing them with a single source stating it is merely right-wing. The sources they removed are some of the most reputable newspapers in Greece, all of which are conservative. Proto Thema [6] and Kathimerini [7] have he largest circulations, while LIFO and Press Project are both respected media outlets in the country. Same applies for To Vima which backs the claim as well. The most egregious removal is an academic peer-reviewed article published in the Journal of Contemporary Central and Eastern Europe. This demonstrates that the anonymous user has been repeatedly lying about the sources and the clearly substantiated discussion. Can you please restore the article to its previous state and ensure that any further discussions and sources are brought to the talk page? This behaviour is absolutely unacceptable. 87.203.204.21 (talk) 07:08, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
The user replying above has repeatedly vandalized the article, giving no explanation or using the talk page before making edits. I'd suggest keeping the page protected for a certain period until the disruptive edits stop. Also the so called "egregious removal" was an article that again links back to the same opinionated pieces I described before. I doubt "Liberal.gr" is a conservative site. 2A02:587:5468:2800:89C9:BE34:1274:4C91 (talk) 11:53, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
You keep spewing lies to support your obvious bias and likely connection to the party. First, you called those articles "liberal websites," which was debunked with sources. Now you're claiming they're opinion pieces, another blatant lie. Care to point out exactly which parts are op-eds and back up your claims? Michalis1994 (talk) 12:31, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
Can you please argue somewhere else? I have no opinion on a Greek party, i'm Brazilian. Wiiformii (talk) 16:04, 23 June 2024 (UTC)

The City of Las Cruces has a new logo that was established April 1, 2023.

The Current logo and flag for that matter are no longer the correct logo. I am trying to update this, and I am having a difficult time figuring out HOW to change out the logo. This logo is one that is allowed for use, but can not be used for individual profit. I currently work for the City of Las Cruces and was asked to attempt to change out the logo but again. I am having difficulty in knowing the correct path to upload and change out the logo.

Hello Wiiformii

Thank you for explaining my edits. I'm still learning. I had been advised earlier to list third parties to 'verify' the work of subjects. I did that for an energy and environmental writer in the biography. I listed PBS, NPR and CSPAN and linked to interviews about his work. I was trying to satisfy the previous editor's points. Your comments were thoughtful but I'm moving on. If you think those third party references, great. Or if I made mistakes, please fix them. Thanks again. JEF JEFeditor (talk) 21:16, 20 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello, this is just a reaction to your message. As I expressed in the edit comment, both the preceding paragraph (FlipJump) and the following paragraph (Toga computer) have the exact same external link to EsoLangs in the text. Just BitBitJump was missing it and it was nowhere on the whole page either. So either it has to be remover on the other paragraphs to conform the rules, or it should be added to the one missing the link, to provide some information source. Hey, botbud :) ! You might want to retool yourself to distinguish between dead links and permanent dead links. The second kind are what I remove, and what you sent me an e-nag about. Someone would save us a lot of work here if they would come up with better training for new editors. If they understood that archiving their links preserves their work, they'd be willing to do it. Then you wouldn't need to run around nagging people. Unfortunately, I don't know how to create the training stuff. And the stuff I took here as a newbie editor was extremely inadequate. Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 23:04, 27 July 2024 (UTC)

@Oona Wikiwalker You removed this, I think it was by accident but it's still active, https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna7505601

I might've overlooked it quick, it's been 3 months so I'm not sure. Wiiformii (talk) 18:28, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

Please be careful with removing maybe free media

I noticed you've been removing {{Maybe free media}} from many logos from countries with a low threshold of originality. But I don't believe this is a good idea because these images can be changed to {{PD-ineligible-USOnly}} because English Wikipedia follows US copyright rules, unlike Commons. That's true, I'll start labeling those not to copy to commons but over U.S. Threshold Wiiformii (talk) 18:33, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

File:Nintendo European Research & Development Logo.svg

If you feel that File:Nintendo European Research & Development Logo.svg is too simple to even be eligible for copyright protection per c:COM:TOO France, then that's OK; however, when you removed the {{PD-ineligible-USonly}} license, you didn't replace it with another copyright license (e.g. {{PD-logo}}). Since all files are required to have a copyright license, you need to make sure to not leave a file without a license because such files are eligible for speedy deletion per WP:F4. Please try to be a bit more careful with this kind of thing in the future. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:45, 4 September 2024 (UTC)

Alfredo da Silva Moreira moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Alfredo da Silva Moreira.

Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 14:12, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in a research

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
