Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your edits to articles, such as the edit you made to AVG (software). This is a common mistake and has probably already been corrected. There is no need to sign your edits to article content, as the article's edit history serves the function of attributing contributions, so you only need to use your signature to make discussions more readable, such as on article talk pages or project pages such as the Village Pump. If you would like further information about distinguishing types of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. Also, please don't put comments in articles. Instead, use tags like {{cn}} or use the talk page. tedder (talk) 14:21, 23 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Tesseract (software) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - Ahunt (talk) 22:33, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Also please do not edit other editor's comments, like you did here, especially to introduce spam links. - Ahunt (talk) 22:33, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to FreeOCR. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. - Ahunt (talk) 22:34, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to User talk:Boldklub-PJs has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Orphaned non-free image File:Staples Wordlock with SET button.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Staples Wordlock with SET button.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:52, 19 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Maryville College, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chilhowee. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The link to the disambiguation page (DP) is appropriate, to enable the reader to explore the various aspects of Chilhowee. The original article might have had an intended sub-link, but unless that author wishes to be explicit, the editor (me) has opened the window a little farther via the DP. That said, including a construct indicator like "(disambiguation)" in the lyrics would be detrimental to the article.

Carbonite

edit

You are infrequently here, but I thank you for your comments at Talk:Carbonite, where the most serious shortcoming is that there is no installed program backup. They tell me I should reinstall from my installation CDs or my downloaded installation files from the Internet. Who has all of those, especially for a Windows 7 PC?--Dthomsen8 (talk) 13:23, 7 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
