Reverts to Middle Eastern American

Hi Yuvn86, I noticed that you recently made 6 reverts to Middle Eastern American. If you feel that something is so important that you must repeatedly remove sourced material and revert it, could you post on the Talk page instead? Musashiaharon (talk) 07:05, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

@User:Musashiaharon. I described more than once my reasons for reverting. It was ignored. You added unrelated and unsourced information, I reverted it (explained why each time), and a sockpuppet using many different IPs kept reverting me back. You cannot add the total number of American Jews to that article when only a minority of them are registered as such (those who immigrated from West Asia and the Middle East). You and user Jeffgr9 (hopefully he's not your sockpuppet) added unsourced and wrong information that has nothing to with the article's subject and nothing to do with the American census. Rest assured, I have no sockpuppets. I merely wanted to suggest helping to form a consensus on the talk page and avoiding an edit war. This option is still open, as it always is, should you wish to pursue it. A full discussion is not always possible in edit comments.

@User:Musashiaharon, American Jews don't belong in the article at all. It's a religious category in the U.S, not ancestry, and even when it's used for ancestry, it's not necessarily about being Middle Eastern, and most of them are not considered to be such. A Syrian Jew is considered Middle Eastern, a Polish Jew is not. Maybe a few lines can be added about Mizrahi communities, but everything else is POV that has nothing to do with the census. Certainly, you are entitled your point of view. I would be happy to answer your objection, except that this discussion has already taken place exhaustively on many other article talk pages, and I'd be adding nothing by rehashing it here. Of course, if you have any groundbreaking information likely to alter the consensus that Jews are Middle Eastern, please comment on the relevant talk page conversations, so that other editors can discuss it as well. I checked the sources, and you and Jeffgr9 are simply adding wrong information - "Jewish" is not an ancestry category in the American census, let alone a Middle East one. In every country there are different definitions of ancestry, religion etc,. but this article is about Middle Eastern Americans and the American Census Bureau.
