Welcome back
editHi Z, glad to see you back. I saw your comment on the latest issue of WP:Signpost. I'm glad your block was resolved amicably and I hope that your presence as "loyal opposition" (to use a Westminster phrase) will bring gentle changes that defuse the nationalistic conflict in the Croatian Wikimedia community. Deryck C. 11:49, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Deryck Chan thank you for warm welcome. I am not the most gentle or diplomatic in absolute terms, nor I think difusion should be the only approach, but I think some of the tensions (more than just nationalistic) can be reduced or productivly used for capacity growth and development, as well as growth and diversification of content, contributors and modes of operations. Lets catch up soon! --Zblace (talk) 12:04, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
The article Wikipedia @ 20 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
meets neither the notability criteria for books, WP:NBOOKS nor the WP:GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Vexations (talk) 16:35, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Ivica Matić Award moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Ivica Matić Award, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - If you now believe the draft cannot meet Wikipedia's standards or do not wish to progress it further, you may request deletion. Please go to Draft:Ivica Matić Award, click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window, add "{{Db-g7}}" at the top of the draft text and click the blue "publish changes" button to save this edit.
- If you do not make any further changes to your draft, in 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, or have experienced any untoward behavior associated with this submission, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- @Modussiccandi OK - added few more prominent sources now. --Zblace (talk) 12:46, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Modussiccandi do you mind reviewing again? --Zblace (talk) 01:03, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- I will take a look shortly. If I accept the submission, I will remove the content about Ivica Matic's life. This content doesn't belong in an article about the award and I recommend writing a separate one about Matic himself. We will also need a source for the list of winners. Creating redirects
editHey Zblace, just wanted to let you know it is not necessary to move articles around to create redirects. Just type the term in the search bar - or alternatively, just type it directly into your address bar - and if a redirect by that name doesn't exist yet click the red link in "The page "<red link>" does not exist.", type in #REDIRECT [[page you want to redirect to]]
and save. I suppose it may be convenient to just move pages around, but that isn't recommended, especially if you're going to be creating more than one redirect at a time. Cheers! -Vipz (talk) 15:02, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- I know but @Vipz I am old school wiki person that prefers bi-directional linking and moving around is strong preference. Only last argument stays if I was to do more then one, indeed I might do that. -- Zblace (talk) 15:13, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Contentious subjects alert for the Balkans or Eastern Europe
editIntroduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
