- Oppose. The blank stare, the generic backdrop, the unlikely green suit and maroon tie... this looks like the high school yearbook photo of someone who went back to school 20 years later. There's nothing in it to suggest that he walked on the moon. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:12, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose – Per Eppstein. Lacks EV regarding the career for which the subject was known. In addition, to my eye the facial colors appear oversaturated. – Sca (talk) 22:13, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
- Support I don't mind the dated clothing, it's a good picture and reminds me of the time period in which it was taken. Mattximus (talk) 23:12, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
- Support OK for me. – Yann (talk) 07:32, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- Comment – I prefer this version, the extra space somehow takes too much attention away from him! I did read the edit summary in the article's revision history, but still. If this doesn't pass I would support the tighter crop. Bammesk (talk) 02:34, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

- Oppose per David Eppstein and also as I fail to see the educational value of this image. Espresso Addict (talk) 05:16, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
