In this course, multilingual students who grew up outside the U.S. hone the English language skills (including academic reading strategies, note taking, vocabulary development, academic research, and academic writing) needed to succeed in their university coursework. Contributing to English language Wikipedia articles about topics from their home communities and cultures that need strengthening would allow these students the opportunity to both hone their own research, reading, and writing skills, and share important knowledge about where they are from with a broader English speaking audience.
