Literature worklist

edit

A long time ago I made a list of women who's writing was included in Women Writing in India, edited by Susie J. Tharu and Ke Lalita. Many of the articles have been created, but about half remain. I hope this is somewhat helpful to others, since I haven't done much with it. Danger High voltage! 03:46, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Students request assistance

edit

Hello. I am a Wikipedian and volunteer coordinator for the Campus ambassador program. Right now there is a class on Women's issues in the third world, and I am here to ask if anyone would volunteer to review any of the articles which the students in this class develop. Here is some information about Wikipedia:Online Ambassadors, but anyone who wants to help can just check in on the students as they do their work. Here is the course page. If you want to help and are not sure what to do, then post on the talk page for the course that you are standing by in case someone wants an opinion about their editing. As of yet, the class has hardly started so nothing has yet been written, but it would be nice to know that interested people are watching. Thanks. Women's health in India needs a little help at GA

edit

Hello all, I'm the GA reviewer for this article. It seems that the nom who was on a WAP project has long gone. The article is nearly ready but could do with a better lead section. I've suggested some possible images you might like to include, also. Be glad if you could lend a hand... Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:48, 9 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Check it out!

We invite you to join the Gender Gap task force. There you can coordinate with users who are trying to identify gender bias on Wikipedia (including gender bias in articles, in editor interactions, policies and implementation of policies) and take steps to counter it. If you would like to get involved, just visit the Gender Gap task force. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or other members of the task force. I'm working on fixing the above template's link to the Gender Gap task force. But since I just discovered your project, thought I'd put this here right away. Also, I just linked to your project on the main page.

I know the women's group in India has been very busy. Wikipedia:Workshop for Women has listed some of their workshops in the past, but there were so many lost track. (Plus page needs updating.) So, FYI. Carolmooredc (Talkie-Talkie) 15:53, 20 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wiki Loves Pride!

edit

You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Pride!

  • What? Wiki Loves Pride, a campaign to document and photograph LGBT culture and history, including pride events
  • When? June 2015
  • How can you help?
1.) Create or improve LGBT-related articles and showcase the results of your work here
2.) Upload photographs or other media related to LGBT culture and history, including pride events, and add images to relevant Wikipedia articles; feel free to create a subpage with a gallery of your images (see examples from last year)
3.) Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)

Or, view or update the current list of Tasks. This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. Visit the group's page at Meta-Wiki for more information, or follow Wikimedia LGBT+ on Facebook. Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome!

If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's main talk page.

Thanks, and happy editing!

There currently is a discussion about the future organization of Wikipedia:WikiProject Women and several other women-related Wikiprojects and taskforces at the above link. Some aspects may be of interests to editors of this project and your participation in the discussion would be appreciated. @Headbomb: Thanks for posting. Where else would someone keenly interested in wikiproj women stumble into Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Women/Archive_2#Complete_reorganization_proposal? :-) Ottawahitech (talk) 17:22, 8 January 2017 (UTC)please ping meReply

Looking for help

edit

Hi,

I was looking for some small help. I created a new article en:Kithaab-a play about women rights issues- which has been copy edited and is ready for translation in various languages. Looking for your possible help in translating the article en:Kithaab to your language. If you are unable to spare time yourself then may be you like to refer the same to some other translator.

Thanking you , with warm regards
