Improper close of CFD
editI believe you improperly closed the discussions to delete Category:Recent books and Category:Recent films. The deletion policy says "Deletion and undeletion are performed by administrators based on policy and guidelines, not personal likes and dislikes." The deletion guide for administrators says "As a general rule, don't close discussions or delete pages whose discussions you've participated in. Let someone else do it." You should have let someone else do it — especially in light of your recent personal attacks on me. --Pixelface (talk) 19:07, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Request for Rollback tool
editDear Stormie,
- I have been a casual Wikipedia editor for some time, and have recently become interested in fighting vandalism.
- I would like to roll back the article Mardi Gras in order to remove the full name of a person whom was insulted as part of a vandalism that I witnessed while watching the "recent changes" log this morning. I have no idea who this person is, or who the vandal is, but I have already left stern warnings on the vandal's talk page.
- The vandalism occurred in this edit.
Thank-you!
VegKilla (talk) 16:21, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the rollback tool, but I don't know how to use it! The bot already changed the page back, so if I rollback what the bot did, then it goes back to being the vandalized version. So then I thought maybe I'd just roll it back twice, but that just rolled back my rollback.
- I need to rollback like 3 edits at once.
- Is there a tutorial on how to use this thing? Would you mind looking at the history of the article and let me know what I am doing wrong?
- I think the rollback tool is the tool I need. What I am trying to do is I am trying to permanently remove this edit, because even though there is nothing wrong with being a homosexual, I am sure whoever that is does not appreciate having their full name on Wikipedia, even if it is just in the edit history.
- Thanks for your help! VegKilla (talk) 23:41, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- Then what does the roll-back do that is different from undo?
So is there any way to permanently remove this edit from the history logs so that not even a record of the edit description remains? VegKilla (talk) 00:10, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- Any time and act of vandalism adds a full name to the encyclopedia, that edit and the edit summary should be speedily and permanently removed from all logs. Where can I bring up creating a policy like that?
RE: Talia Madison/Velvet Sky
editHey. I was just on my way to voice my opinion, but it seems like the article has been recreated. While I would have liked to see a few more independent sources in the article, I do agree that she is notable enough now (especially compared to when the article was originally at AfD) that she should have an article. Thanks for informing me of the discussion, though. Nikki311 04:26, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- Please do not change the height/weight use. We do not use that height/weight conversion template for the Infobox Wrestler template. In the future, I suggest checking an infoboxe's page to see what you are supposed to to (I notice people do these same mistakes in video game templates). TJ Spyke 23:20, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't know someone had vandalized the Infobox page. Thanks for letting me know. There was no official discussion, it was just the way we used it for a long time, but once in awhile someone tries to change it without discussing it first. TJ Spyke 00:01, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- I suppose we could put a link to a site that does automatic conversions (it's what I use). Part of the reason now is that for some reason there is a bot that is replacing of the weight templates with one that includes the wegiht in Stones (an odd weight system only used in Ireland, and even in Ireland its use is declining). User:Hawks10's genre changes
editHi,
Since you gave User:Hawks10 his final warning about unsourced genre changes, he has made another 50+ changes. Just letting you know that I have reverted them and blocked him for 48 hours. --Stormie (talk) 03:59, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Randy Richards Article
edit- Not trying to promote myself. And Randy Richards is being promoted only inasmuch as anyone else on Wikipedia. But this is all irrelevant - the article contained nearly 20 citations, and at least 2 meaningful secondary sources WITH independent verification. What more could anyone want? Adriano Bulla deletion review
editAre you calling the British Library Bulla's 'suckpuppet?' [1][2] [3]
Maybe living in the US youn don't know that the British Library is apponted by OUR Queen as the official registrar for publications? Maybe living in the US you don't know that greatworks.org.uk is possibly the most authoritative poetry website in the UK? We in the UK call this 'slagging off without reference to evidence'. How do you? TonyBrit (talk) 11:02, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
A few song articles had bogus Mexican Hot 100 chart positions; I went and removed them to save you a little trouble. Going through the user's edit history, there're probably a few more bogus Mexican Hot 100 chart positions thrown in. Daniel Malakov affair: New data
editDear Stormie:
As you will recall about two months ago you & I disagreed on the validity of a Daniel Malakov encyclopedia article on Wikipedia. Many WP:Notability and WP:BLP claims were made by yourself and other gentle administrators. Try as I could, there seemed way to convince you that the murder of Daniel Malakov was a significant event requiring a Wikipedia page. The page was deleted. No discussion on the merits was permitted, IMHO, by the "Administrator echelon."
In view of the above, I wish to direct your attention to a New York Times article as follows:
February 9, 2008
Man Accused of Killing Dentist Exchanged 91 Calls With Dentist’s Wife
By CHRISTINE HAUSER and DARYL KHAN
You are free to go to nytimes.com and read the article, but perhaps the salient details are as follows:
Those details about the killing of Dr. Malakov on Oct. 28, 2007, emerged Friday from an indictment and at a news conference held by police officials and prosecutors.
As the families of both Dr. Malakov and his estranged wife looked on, Dr. Borukhova, 34, was arraigned and pleaded not guilty on Friday to charges including first-degree murder and second-degree conspiracy in an emotion-filled hearing in State Supreme Court in Queens. Mr. Mallayev, 50, faces similar charges.
The defendants could each be sentenced to life in prison without parole. They were ordered held without bail until their next court date, Friday.
At the time you folks decided to ditch the article, this information was not available. Now that it is, and more information ostensibly is to come out as the NYPD and AG begin to make their case in court, I want to know whether you will reverse your position and support an article on Daniel Malakov, or alternatively "Murder of Daniel Malakov."
If not, what would you need to see to support such an article? If you demand a conviction, then I plan to hold you to your promise.

World of Warcraft revert
editYou stated the information contributed was "non-encyclopedic". An encyclopida is simply "A written composition of informative articles arranged alphabetically." I believe the point of Wikipedia is for users to supbmit and/or edit aticles of any number of subjects in an open-forum style think tank if you will. I am sure u are aware of how much vandalism wikipedia recieves on a daily basis so it surprises me to the highest extend when a legitimate editor inputs information onto an articles to make it better and expand some vague subjects within. Because world of warcraft does not have a bunch of sub-articles and redirects, there is nothing wrong with someone adding information about specific classes as they can. I am working with 3 other high wikipedia contributors to get world of warcraft more expanded sections as far as specific class information and history. Considering you have not contributed at all to this article I'd like it if you did not revert legitimate information posted in the article. Like I said, in a wikipedian world with so much vandalism, why wouldn't someone jump at the chance to have constructive editing? Ziros (talk) 15:08, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

edithi, your explanation would make sense if the article as you saw it was complete though in fact I was in the middle of typing it.
one ep and a myspace is not all there is, two eps, a full length, national tours and one member who went on to join an internationally touring band on a major record label (still remains on roadrunner records). Just letting you know that when you protected this from creation you (probably inadvertently) chose to protect it at the autoconfirmed level only. This doesn't really stop anyone as they only have to wait for four days after registering. I've redeleted and fully protected the page now. Stifle (talk) 09:18, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
