Penn State Dance Marathon
Hello, Could you please restore Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) or possibly Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon to draftspace? Thanks, Benjamin (talk) 13:17, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- Benjaminikuta and Hoyadonis, I have restored it. I see no reason why Penn State Dance Marathon is not a necessary and sufficient title and certainly I can see absolutely no justification for a ridiculous / in the title. Make sure you explain what the (pan)hell the panhellenic bit of the title is all about because it is all Greek to me. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:16, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks! But what about the other one? I think there might have been multiple deleted articles. — Benjamin (talk) 23:10, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- The edit history of the draft now contains all the edits from Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON), Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon and Atlas Benefiting THON. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:03, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
- Interesting, how does that work, are they all merged together in the history somehow? Benjamin (talk) 12:43, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
- There are two problems with this history merge. 1) The articles had two different subjects. 2) Pages with parallel histories (even with the same subject) should never have the histories merged. I just spent about an hour going through the history to unmerge them. — JJMC89 (T·C) 01:04, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

Abduljabbar Surajo Guga - Deletion
User talk:Tvincent88#Speedy deletion nomination of Abduljabbar Surajo Guga. This is regarding the article for Abduljabbar Surajo Guga, I want know know what type of copyright privacy information do you need from Katsina Post? Abduljabbar Surajo Media Team provided the local news paper the article I wrote. If you check the information is a exactly the headings and structure we have on here. Here is the link for the news paper website showing the date of publication, if you go through my sandbox and review my edit history you'll know I am telling the truth. Help me to the right direction on how to fix this, apparently my intent was never to plagiarism. "http://katsinapost.com.ng/2019/09/12/meet-abduljabbar-guga-from-katsina-it-director-of-an-american-company/" (Katsina Post). - (talk page stalker) @Tvincent88: Instructions on how to donate text to Wikipedia are located at: WP:DONATETEXT. However, even if you followed those instructions it is is unlikely we would use the material. It isn't often that we find content not on Wikipedia that is written in an encyclopedic way, which includes an adherence to WP:NEUTRAL. The article you copied from is not written in this neutral style, and we would not accept this content as is. We might (might) use it as a reference, but that's the most we would use it for. Regardless of the source of the content for the article, you should carefully read and understand WP:NPERSON before beginning to write this again. Further, please constrain your efforts in draft form until others have had a chance to look at it. Else, it's likely it would be rapidly deleted again as it was here. This is really for your benefit, as it will give you time to develop a nascent article into something we would move into article space rather than delete. If you have questions, let me know. Thanks, -- Hammersoft (talk) 22:20, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
InLobby
Dear Mr. Haworth, I am writing to ask you change the protection level of an article. In 2011, you deleted an article called InLOBBY because of the advertising and promotion. You also made it fully protected. Not long ago I got an assignment from my Writing Skills professor to write about a travel company, and I chose InLOBBY, as it is a very popular company in my country. However, when I looked for some information about it in Wikipedia, I found nothing. As I have gathered a great deal of information on this topic, I would like to write an article about it here. So I need you to change the protection level to be able to make it come into reality. Thank you in advance. Elenmelkonyan123 (talk) 2:15 PM, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
- I view your story of a writing skills assignment with the greatest scepticism - you have not entered your name against any school or university project. But I will take you at your word. Use AfC to create draft:inLobby. (Even if the firm shouts the word lobby everywhere, we do not need to do so here.) If the draft gets accepted then unprotection of the mainspace title will be uncontroversial. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:39, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

Test edit
Hello. I need to apologize for this page [1], which wound up in the article space (main space) by accident. You correctly speedy deleted the page. It was actually meant to be one of my sandbox pages - temporarily. I'm an experienced editor [2] so you can imagine that a mistake like this is embarrassing for me. Just wanted to let you know the circumstances. Also, obviously this was a good call on your part. Regards ---Steve Quinn (talk) 15:43, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
File:Grand Central Solari.jpg
What the heck? I tried to contest the speedy deletion tag (do article tags allow you to remove them but for some reason file tags don't?) and was at work today, and you immediately deleted the file? I had a pretty clear fair use tag and very descriptive rationale. As explained earlier, WP:F7 does not apply because the image was "the subject of sourced commentary" (F7b). Why not talk to me first? I've been editing here a decade; this is an easy way to get me to want to stop. — ɱ (talk) 04:16, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- Someone who has been editing here a decade ought to know how to link to an image description page: thus. But I do note that you worked out that the relevant image in this page is in fact a "thumbnail". It looks like all my efforts - see the talk page - may come to nothing. The deletion arguments are probably unanswerable. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:50, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
... I know how to link to an image description page. I didn't think I needed to link you directly to a then-empty page that you would remember enough to know how to reply. And yeah, I am very experienced with pulling images off of websites, even searching through the website code or editing the url to find hidden original-quality versions. ɱ (talk) 14:44, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- Providing a link is simply a matter of courtesy. Sure, I found the image but I would have found it with fewer clicks if you had provided a link. Note that Whpq provided a link in the message below. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:28, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I had created a page "Laurus Infosystems" but you have reviewed\deleted the page stating that "This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia". - So where is this special "non-public draft space"? The ordinary draft: space is, of course, totally publick. OK, pages there are tagged with <meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow"/> but Wikipedia's own search engine indexes them and anybody can find them with enquiries such as: special:prefixIndex/draft:arnold. Imagineer Technology Group Page Deletion
Hi there, I saw that you deleted my draft for an Imagineer Technology Group page. This was my first attempt at creating a page, so I apologize if it didn't fit the guidelines - can you please let me know how it can be improved to a point where it could be approved? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 606Orbs (talk • contribs) 21:55, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- It may seem trivial, but when I see an article starting with an <h1> heading it screams to me: "newbie and spammer who has never looked at any other articles". That bit I have fixed. The rest is up to you.
- Curb Safe Charmer, I know it is spam but it is in draft space so please allow 606Orbs a chance to try and improve it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:28, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, I am happy for them to have the opportunity to improve it. Lets see how they get on. If you saw my recent question on the AfC talk page I'm keen to strike the right balance between welcoming first-time editors and discouraging promo. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 18:59, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
I attempted to rewrite based on WP:GNG, taking out information that might be considered promotional, and published the changes on the draft page. It's a little sparse but in my opinion there are enough reliable sources to warrant the page. Please let me know if this is page would now be deemed acceptable, or if there are any other changes you'd recommend I make. I'm still learning my way around editing so any advice is much appreciated! — 606Orbs (talk · contribs) 16:41, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

Noted, thank you for the feedback. I have added back in the product section but edited the language to be less advertorial. If you think this is acceptable now I will try to publish again. — 606Orbs (talk · contribs) 19:42, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

I'm highly dubious about this - this content has been evolving since 2005 at the old Machiavellianism, now renamed Machiavellianism (politics), where you will see it in the history. If it really is a wholesale repeat, this is no doubt because the other source has copied Wikipedia. In any case, we need the subject and you should not have removed the whole article. Please restore it. Looking at the claimed source, clearly an essay by a not very good student, dated 2015, I recognise, copied wholesale near the top of page 18, a passage I wrote myself for St._Bartholomew's_Day_massacre#Reactions "It was in this context that the massacre came to be seen as a product of Machiavellianism, a view greatly influenced by the Huguenot Innocent Gentillet, who published his Discours contre Machievel in 1576, which was printed in ten editions in three languages over the next four years....". You can see it in this version from 2010. The whole crappy piece is clearly made up largely by chunks of many WP articles - check out his section at the end repeating our article Machiavellianism in the workplace. The article even includes our old Machiavellianism, now renamed Machiavellianism (politics) in the bibliography, with the note "All websites have been seen between 10-20th of December 2015". Frankly, you should not have been fooled by this. The article gets lots of views and has many links to it. — Johnbod (talk) 14:27, 21 September 2019 (UTC)

Well, someone else revived it, and I have now added the version you emailed me, so some other poor admin will have to do a history merge, since you evidently aren't going to. Another fine mess .... Johnbod (talk) 03:50, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
Hi, RHaworth! I saw that you moved Template:Quảng Bình Province to a title without diacritics, presumably as a result of this tag. That user has been starting RM discussions and then trying to anticipate the results by speedying the move targets – I've declined a dozen or more of them. For all I know, he/she is right about every single one. However, in this case I think it may have been right before – our article on the province is at Quảng Bình Province. Reverting to the status quo ante would allow the move discussion to take its natural course, if you feel so inclined? Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:24, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
- Justlettersandnumbers, I don't see any reason why the discussion should take its natural course anymore. The move has been carried out, and I'm ok with that. Please don't be too harsh on everything. RM has more than enough discussion to deal with every day, while this one is not that big of a deal, since renaming this title does not make such significant difference (though it looks awkward to leave one template with diacritics, while others don't). Thus it should not take such a long process. I am just requesting because I can't do it myself. If there's any other way faster than that, please let me know and I'm happy to do that next time. — Cn5900 (talk) 17:49, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
- Looking at category:Vietnam subdivision templates I do not see a single diacritic. Why did this one need them? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:34, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
- RHaworth, I can't agree more. — Cn5900 (talk) 03:24, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
Well, RHaworth, perhaps for the reason I gave above: our article on the province is at Quảng Bình Province? I repeat, I've no idea whether the move was right or wrong, and I care not one jot either way. But I kind of thought that letting the RM discussion take place would allow interested editors to reach consensus on that, rather than allowing one somewhat disruptive editor to determine the outcome. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:42, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
- RHaworth, I guess I'm just gonna ask you to move articles for me then. In fact that's the thing I don't like about RM, since it takes so long, while we know for sure what the outcome should be. Moreover, the RM discussion I listed to move the articles about Vietnamese municipality only had 2 conversations in it, meaning that not many people are interested in it. Then why should it take such a long process, while not many people will discuss it? I'm only listing it on RM because I was blocked from moving it. I wouldn't have wasted time on that if I could do it myself. — Cn5900 (talk) 02:30, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
- I don't seem to see the snowball clause being invoked nowadays. But I think it applied clearly to the move of the template. As to the articles themselves, I saw several popping up at CAT:CSD but I avoided getting involved because matters in that area were not immediately clear to me. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:40, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
Hi there. You deleted a dab page I created. I can't see it now, obviously, but the only time I create those types of dabs is for when there is a dab page in a hatnote or "See also" section, as per WP:INTDABLINK. I'm not even sure how to check on that to see if that's the case in this instance, but I've never created a "XXX (disambiguation)" for any other reason. — Onel5969 TT me 22:41, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) onel5969, you created it as a redirect to New Latin, and it was (correctly) deleted under WP:G14. — Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:45, 22 September 2019 (UTC)

When you created Modern Latin (disambiguation) it was a valid redirect but the edit to New Latin on 2019-09-17 20:18:34 changed the situation. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:40, 23 September 2019 (UTC)

- FWIW, There's a subreddit about this and also an entry in Urban Dictionary. Neither of those make it notable per-se, but a reasonable argument could be made that it's a plausible search term. -- RoySmith (talk) 17:07, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)@RoySmith: It's not G1 or G3, and I don't think it's R3 either. I won't object if you re-create it and immediately send it to RfD; does that sound like a suitable compromise? — Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:16, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- I don't feel strongly enough about this to bring it to WP:DRV, but yeah, I think restoring it and sending it to WP:RfD would be a reasonable thing to do. -- RoySmith (talk) 18:04, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

Is Emmanuel Michael (Nigerian) the article which was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Emmanuel Michael? — PamD 11:35, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- (Talk page stalking) No - see [3]. — Dorsetonian (talk) 11:49, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, Dorsetonian. (For info, after a busy day he's now at Michael Emmanuel, with a new dab page at Michael Emanuel). PamD 22:13, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
Your deletion of MapKing article post
Hi, RHaworth, Sorry interrupting you. I created MapKing as my boss asked me to. Not so familiar with editing here. Could you please help take a look into the matter. Seems you deleted my MapKing article post on 26 Sept. It's a brand and business in Hong Kong. I think the wikilink is this but it was deleted so I am not very sure. MapKing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/mapking I tried wrote it with all verifiable prove to avoid being blamed as promotion. I can take away promotion message if you can point out which sentences are. Or just write in a more simple way. Thanks and hope you will reply. And please email me the deleted content if possible. — Kirvanskyhk (talk) 10:40, 30 September 2019 (UTC) MapKing Lim
- I find it hilarious: not once, but three times you have created MapKing which is a perfectly valid wikilink. But then you say "I think the wikilink is this" and give me a link in the wrong format to a page that has never existed! But MapKing is not actually the link to the page you created on Sep 26. Please tell your boss that you have been advised that trying to promote the company here is likely to be a waste of your time. Ask them for a budget to promote the company with paid advertising. Text emailed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:05, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
Egc Group Page Was Deleted Wrongfully
The page Egc group was deleted before I had a chance to fix it's issues. I am new to editing on Wikipedia and had not disclosed my relationship to the subject before I posted it and that was my mistake. I have now disclosed that I work for Egc group and I believe the page reflects information about the company and is not a promotional piece. Is there any way you could help get the page back up? — Evan-Calafates (talk) 18:41, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- Oh dear, someone who does not know, when talking about an article, when its appropriate to refer to it’s issues. OK, it is nine years since the last attempt at spamming this company. Also both previous attempts were pathetick stubs. So I have restored your version. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:05, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
Hello, you have twice (I think) deleted a draft for this as copy-vio. It has turned up again, submitted via a user sandbox. I moved it to draftspace, tidied a few things and then found the infringement. Clicking review (to decline) revealed the previous deletions. I have declined it and tagged, but should it be 'salted' as it seems the creator will continue to WP:TE submit it. It seems unlikely to achieve notability either. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 10:25, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)@Eagleash: It wasn't much of a copyvio; though having removed all close paraphrasing (and revision deleted the rest), there isn't much left. It's a marginal case for MfD to be honest; some people will defend reality TV contestants, but I tend to err more on the side of WP:BLP myself as the sourcing for them is often horrible tabloid stuff. — Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:36, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Ritchie333: The original sandbox draft (which I can no longer see but presumably you can) seemed to me to a copy and paste of the first 2⁄3 of the bio page including all the grammar anomalies etc. Apparently RH thought it 'dodgy' too. However, if you think it's OK after some fettling that's fine by me! No doubt it will be resubmitted at some future date. I agree about the notability of reality 'stars' though. The first few series of Big Brother (UK) produced sigcov for a goodly number of contestants and some have developed media careers. After TV coverage was reduced and later Channel 5 took it on...not so much. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 03:17, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
Since when has "One-sentence bio of completely non-notable individual" been an appropriate use of WP:G6? I'm in a cheery mood, so your response will not make me cross, but just think carefully before you hit "submit", please. — Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:34, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have said this before: if you see an action of mine that you disagree with, just revert it. So, teach me by example: restore the article and then take whatever action you consider appropriate. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:59, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
I don't want to restore it, I just want to discuss policy with you. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:05, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- That I saw the page at all was due to an edit conflict: I was looking at the 2019-10-01 12:31:10 state of the page which was open in my browser. You looked at the page and decided the speedy tag was "wrong". I looked at the page and decided we might as well delete it. But I should have changed the deletion reason. Your action and mine were both well within the limits of "policy". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:27, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
Removal of Weddingz - Moved to Draftspace
Hi, I saw that you deleted my Wiki page of Weddingz company & now it has been moved to draftspace. It is a notable company with references from a big site that's why I created it. I was informed, my article looked promotional. I was having a conversation on the same with 'discospinster'. She told me what she felt looked promotional & I removed those things straight. I would request you to kindly visit my Weddingz Draftspace & share your views whether it seems okay now.. Because now I have removed revenue growth, increase in vendors & employees. I would require your help & guidance to re-publish this page. Kindly take out your time & give me a feedback. If you think there is some other information that I need to remove, I will do it gladly. Once you give a thumbs up, I would like to make it live. I didn't intend to make it promotional nor I thought I was promotional so I might need guidance from experienced users.
Awaiting for your positive revert. Please share your valuable feedback. Regards, Shrishti Shrishti Jhamnani (talk) 18:50, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- Submit your draft for review. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:59, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

I disagree with deletion of Filtrator
Dear RHaworth, "If you believe that this decision was made in error..., please contact the administrator who carried out the deletion." So I am contacting you. Please carefully consider all arguments at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion#Filtrator. I believe there are SEVERAL reasons why G11 does not apply in this case! Please undelete my page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by VictorPorton (talk • contribs) 08:53, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- I agree with you: {{db-spam}} was somewhat inappropriate. {{Db-repost}} would have been a much better deletion reason. So what has changed since Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Filtrator to make this topic notable? You could re-submit it via AfC but I think it would be a waste of your time. Incidentally, always check your links when you create an article - can you see the important difference between posets and posets? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:42, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

Why was Draft:Kashmira Panache deleted?
Hi, I had submitted my first article but found out that you have deleted it!!! Why have you done that? It was surely not promotional or advertisement! If you believe some portions need to be changed I would have done that. Please do undelete the draft Draft:Kashmira Panache If there are corrections needed, I would happily correct it and resubmit ! — Sayujsmenon (talk) 16:25, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- Sayujsmenon, you probably have a CoI but draft space is a place where people should be allowed to make articles un-spammy. So I have restored it.
- Harshil169, please allow the draft to be reviewed. We can allow it six months to live! — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:27, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have no problem. -- Harshil want to talk? 10:29, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Lukman Lukku
Why did you delete the page Lukman Lukku which I have created few days ago without any notification? If you give me a chance, I will rectify the errors if any, as soon as possible I can. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Suvikkrishnan (talk • contribs) 10:06, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- You have your chance. Create it at draft:Lukman Lukku and let a regular draft reviewer review it. Do not move it to mainspace yourself. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:27, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

You Deleted A Page Name Hemant Lochav. Can You restore It Again? and also approve It. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheORKMedia (talk • contribs) 10:35, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
- Pages draft:Hemant lochav, Hemant lochav and Hemant Lochav have all existed but none of them were deleted by me. It looks like an hopelessly spammy autobio. The last section shows how far the author is from understanding what an encyclopedia is: "I am sorry to say that I won't be able to accept your invitation/association". Can you restore Urth Caffe
Hello I would like Urth Caffe restored please because I have added several references that should make it more than notable enough for Aiki requirements. Also I have uploaded an image/logo for this article and I am afraid it will be deleted if the article is not restored as soon as possible. Yallayallaletsgo (talk) 00:18, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
- Log in if necessary then go to Urth Caffe and find out what I did with a time stamp of 2019-10-04 22:51:44. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:27, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
Liberation Road
That website is not the owner of the text I submitted with Draft:Liberation Road. I took the text from the predecessor organization's wiki entry, as did, presumably, the website in question. — Iskander Khan (talk) 05:57, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for reviewing the brain injury medicine article. It was deleted due to typos. I am not sure what typos you were referring to. Do you have any recommendations on improving the article? Willing to submit code to geohack?
Hello, Roger. I don't know if you've seen the pings at my talk page. The Helmert transform code (helm_gb.php) you shared with me as part of the os/coor_g code would fix some longstanding bugs in geohack. Would you be willing to generate a pull request? Or did that code come from User:Egil? Thanks for your help! —hike395 (talk) 09:22, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have no idea what a pull request is. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:39, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
- A pull request is poorly named: it's a request by a developer to an owner of an open source software package to submit new code. Geohack has an outstanding bug in UK maps, where a lat/long is assumed to be in the OSGB36 coordinate system when it is converted to OS grid ref.
- The Helmert transformation code (helm_gb.php) you shared with me exactly fixes this bug. I'm reluctant to submit the code myself, because that implies that I wrote and understand the code. So I was wondering whether you would consider submitting the code yourself. If you don't want to do that, could you tell me whether you wrote helm_gb.php? If not, do you remember where you got the code? —hike395 (talk) 02:53, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program
I see that you deleted my page for the Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program as unambiguous advertising. It was not meant to be so. CGEP was the first program of its kind that deserves to be remembered in encyclopedic form. I would appreciate the chance to edit it to bring it into compliance, but can’t figure out how to access the source. Is there any way to recover it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whg2n (talk • contribs) 19:57, 6 October 2019 (UTC)

Owl project
Hi, you've deleted the Owl Project page due to "Unambiguous copyright infringement", pointing at http://www.artsjobs.org.uk/arts-news/post/owl-project-workshop-light-seeking-stickbots/ This is not the case - the page you pointed at is clearly dated, and newer than the page I wrote. If there is copyright infringement, it's the person writing that advert. I'm going to try to reinstate the page. Please join the talk page if you have doubts. — Yaxu (talk) 21:51, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
Damn, it's not in the google cache or wayback machine. I can't believe all that work was wiped so easily :( I don't suppose you took a backup?) — Yaxu (talk) 21:57, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
I guess we could copy from the advert, but there were a lot of references that aren't in that ad. — Yaxu (talk) 22:05, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
